If I wanted to use sounds like this in a song, I would just use my synth, as most would, so I'm struggling to see the point of it other than a novelty. I think you'd quickly get bored with it and the only thing that would make it sound good is the marketing!

It looks cool, but the sound it creates. Just make an electribe like the emx1

just clip a lapel mic on your kalimba plug it into a guitar pedal or two call it done

THe phase8 stole the show for me last year... even more excited now. Glad to see this is developing along nicely.

Its been quite a while since someone designed a combination acoustic/electronic instrument. Its an area that has so much potential (think electric guitar, rhodes piano) For the moment these tines sound a bit too much like a kalimba from what I can tell on this very lo fi demo but I will follow its development with interest.

This is going to be such an interesting instrument!!
