The lama statues are either supposed to be gutters sort of, or eavesdrops lol. More than likely eavesdrop. I say use them how youd like. But...if youre looking for historical accuracy, eavesdrops would be very visible decorations meant to make people feel watched so they dont screw up. Theyre like public cameras but without the actual camera part lol.

It's giving modern museum in a old castle. I like it alot!

i also wish that there were more windows for the curved walls but, living in ireland, i don't think i've been in a turret without having to squish my whole face into the windowhole to see anything outside. so they're narrow but realistic. i think the purpose of these windows is just so you don't trip over yourself going up and down the stairs in the dark (a stone spiral staircase would have been a better solution for this pack instead of bigger curved windows)

This should become the home of Lairds kid, they will get married to a royal partner, make like a Cinderella inspired story, that would be cool

I feel like this is where Laird and Abernathy eventually settle to rule over their rental domain.... its all thats left of the ancient castle, and they had to get a bit creative in making it habitable.... but they think its a bit of a giggle pretending to be the modern monarchs

The amount I cringed when you first put the modern add-on 😂 felt so counterintuitive initially, but once you started to furnish the interior I saw where you were going with it. Maybe I need to watch this Grand Designs show 😂

I've heard a lot of people call the darker/gradient walls dirty and I just wanna let y'all know that's creosote buildup from all the fires castles used to have going on. Also! James is super right about the wood floors - they would have the wood over top of the stone so it'd be a step up from the stone :)

Looks like a pele (peel) tower. We have them in Northumberland like fortified towers. Also bastles which are fortified farm homes

As a European, my BIG problem with the kit is that the standard swatch is the beige/sandstone coloured swatch which instantly makes it not look like medieval castle but like a historicist university or library from the 1880s or something

Castles and Keeps had different levels for floor and stairs as a trip hazard for people who raided.. people who lived there knew every dip and step, so they didn't fall themselves.

How cool would this theme be as an expansion pack? Like a new medieval style world with cross pack gameplay with horse ranch and cottage living. I think this should've at least been a stuff pack to include proper furnishings. A missed opportunity since the wallpapers etc look so good
