I'd like a case that has more than 2 usb ports on the front. I'd prefer 4 usb and a usb type c. It's difficult to search and find a case based on what I like for these ports. I know people say just buy a cheap port hub, but that defies the purpose. I want a case that will suit what my motherboard can put out in every way, including the front i/o. Any recommendations a good ATX case that will do this, that is also at a decent price?

Would you mind covering this for non-gaming non-video editing PC enthusiast and professionals or hobbyists that enjoy building PC’s and use them for work / business office ? I’m trying to build a sleek pro looking desktop / slimmed down workstation for the house, but it’s hard to get anywhere because EVERYTHING is gaming and/or video editing. You could even spin off another channel for nongamers/video production. Thank you either way, and Merry Christmas!

I have the Lian Li 011 Dynamic and i have to say that case is insane for space and airflow. If you don't mind spending extra for the fans ( i have 10 in total which includes the fans on my AIO Rad ). Even though its expensive i still think i made the right choice, Tinkering inside the PC is a breeze because of all the room you have. I have had smaller cases which makes upgrading / tinkering inside a little harder along with cable management. With a monster case like the 011 thats not an issue as there is more than enough room for anything.

Having built upwards of 30 computers in the last 5 years, I think a good case is one that meets all the prerequisites for your specific build (e.g. enough space for your GPU and your CPU tower or radiator, enough SSD trays if you plan on having more than one or two), offers good airflow, and allows for good access to everything while building. I've built in really cheap cases and in 200$+ cases, the one big difference I'll tell everyone is that cheap cases (up to 50-60$) usually are a lot less user-friendly to build in. Aside from more aesthetic things like a lack of rubber grommets or cable management bars, the cheaper cases typically also are just more of a pain to just open and access everything, and the overall build quality is a lot less refined. There's gonna be more plastic which might rattle or creak as you build, or if it's all sheet-metal it's gonna be thin and flimsy.
Without name-dropping brand or model, I've used a 50$ case (from a well-known brand) earlier this year for a budget-friendly build and it had a sheet-metal frame around its tempered glass side panel, so the panel came off with the frame. Taking it off was easy enough with a single thumbscrew, but as I went to put it down somewhere and the edge of the frame slid down my hand a bit, it cut the palm of my hand because the edge was still sharp, not sanded at all. You just have to be aware that with a cheap case, building is probably going to be a pain, either by making things hard to access or having nowhere to put the cables on the backside, or by physically hurting you like the one that cut me...

That said, once you get to 70-75$ cases or more, build quality is noticeably better. Once you go over 90$ or 100$, all you're paying extra for is either more space (aka just a bigger case), better materials, more RGB, more features like removeable fan/radiator brackets, or any combination of these. But personally I try to avoid cases under about 70-75$ except in ultra-budget builds (like when the client says the PC should cost as little as possible). Even for a 1000$ gaming PC I'd go with something like the Phanteks G300A or Fractal Focus 2 because I just got tired of cheap cases that make building a PC harder than it needs to be.

I find modern cases so dull. Without the drive bays they are just rectangles. I think my next "case" might be an Arcade 1up with added ventilation. Lots of room in their bases.
I'll consider it a $150 discount on the cabinet cuz thats what I'd pay for a normal case.

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I really don't care about lights and color and stuff like that. I just want a case that'll allow me to install an ATX motherboard and have room for future expansion.

Dual chamber glass cases sell though. All manufacturers have some kind of 011 dynamic clone now. Its what buyers are spending their money on. A case that nearly no one else will see, that they'll show off to everyone who doesn't care, to impress people that don't even know what it is. But you'll tell them anyway.

3 pack of Thermalright RGB fans $13. Good enough. RGB

Find a better deal than this.

its too bad the NR600 went up to $100. I bought one a couple years ago when it first came out for $70 and I saw them going for $60 on sale or with rebates at a few points. It is a really solid case with decent features and comes with a couple decent fans but at $70 adding some more isnt a huge deal.

But inflation I guess...

If you upgrade frequently, trust me, you'll want to invest and spend on the best case that suits your need, especially the ease of access. I used to not overspend on cases and ended up spending more. I suggest that you don't hesitate to upgrade to the case on any day if you have the extra budget when you see the best case that suits you.
