Oh man, i only played the main campaign as a kid i had no idea there was more. Might have to pick it up again if the cartridge still works

This is more like Nobunaga's Ambition than a Pokemon game. That's why you're surprised about the amount of content and replayability.

Pokemon conquest needs a second game

A pokemon at a 100 percent link wont have any of the negative side effects of the move at that point

I always loved defending the steel type domain and the flying type domain if the conditions are right which they usually are you just have to survive actually there are quite a few that have special features that help like the ghost one using 2 pokemon is all you need 3 pokemon or 1 flying in the flying or 1 in the steel the ai is easily manipulated

This game begs for a sequel, z-moves gigantamax, mega evolution all lend themselves to such creative implementations. All new pokemon, I think they all deserve a few moves to choose from pre-battle. This game was so good and its a crime it didn't sell all too well

As somebody that loved all tactics games and pokemon as a kid this should've been the game for me. Sadly by the time it came out, i was fully underwhelmed by it's complicated depth invoking gameplay, which in practice was just a way worse version of final fantasy tactics advance, even the ds sequel did i better. Especially the music was so lacklustre compared to its tactics competitors, like advance wars, smt devil summoner or even fire emblem.

I've been kinda burnt out when it comes to Pokemon. I've been playing them since I was 4 and the games are just easy. I love the old ones to death but Nintendo has gotten away with releasing the same game for 2 decades now. But it's the spin offs that keep me going. The first 5 gens will always hold a special place in my heart but Ranger, conquest, and pokepark are better than all the main line pokemon games and I will die on this hill.

The problem with making a sequel or rerelease for Conquest probably has something to do with it really being a crossover with the Samurai Warriors series.

I have a bit of a story regarding this game. One time in high school history class, we were assigned a project to draw up a feudal country, divide it into districts and assign lords, and I decided to use Ransei as my template. Yes, I basically traced the region and didn’t change any names, but honestly, my teacher was none the wiser and gave me a good grade on it. And they say Pokémon can’t be educational.

I stumbled onto this game by accident by going through the Dynasty Warriors wiki and seeing a reference to the game. I took it for granted how good it was as I had abandoned the main series since gen 2. It was this game, years after its release, that made me a fan again. I turned around and picked up Pokémon White and by then, the Switch was coming out. I never knew just how unknown this game is among pokemon fans as I, myself, am not really that big of a fan for a long time.

This game has prohibitively expensive to play. Such a shame if I want a physical copy.

Some of the attack areas for Pokemon in this game are just trash. The only Eeveelution I felt was worth it was Glaceon. Got through the first campaign and played the second a bit, but I don't remember the Arceus fight. Maybe I should restart the whole game.

the link system isn't really a "chance" for those not familiar with the game. Every warrior (the generics) and every warlord (the unique ones) have a predetermined compatability with each pokemon, as well as a max number of pokemon they can be paired with at once (when not in combat you can switch between them.) the EXP system in this game is Link percentage. max link percentage between warrior and pokemon is 100, but that's only if the pokemon is the perfect link with that warrior. Different warriors have different compatabilities with different pokemon (for example if for a warrior (a generic) you have a pokemon that isn't their perfect link, their compatability link is 70% at max) the max Link percentage is determined by the compatability link score. If a pokemon is a perfect link this is 100%. It's all predetermined and you can find this information as well as warrior links on a website called veekun.

I'm currently playing through on my new 13 inch tablet. While I'm having a lot of fun I REALLY wish I had an hd textures pack.

TL;DW, this is Pokémon meets Risk with a sprinkle of Final Fantasy for story.
EDIT: Initially said sprinkle of Genshin, but it has more of a Final Fantasy feel, especially after unlocking the full gameplay

They should revist this concept, but make it Pokemon x Fire Emblem.

This game had online DLC for exta pokemon. Luckily it is on the cart with passwords you can find online.
