Wait a minute, "red wrath" (Calamity?), The entrance to the temples being mentioned makes me wonder if we were supposed to travel Hyrule as well at one point, but looking at how Makar and Medali don't understand their temples outside of being a place to pray for the mastersword, what if the temples at one point served another function? I wonder what the ghost ship used to be and why the Gorons, who could reach higher than anyone to the mountaintops would abandon their home, and why the Rito seem to have two guardians, as Valoo could help the Rito but Jabuu could help the Gorons when they are out being merchants, perhaps that gossip fish carries information to merchants at what people may be interested in buying?
ОтветитьDragon Roost Cavern and Earth Temple are my favorites in WindWaker
ОтветитьHmmmmm.
ОтветитьAnother thing about Dragon roost. If Dragon roost cavern is Dodongo cavern then the name makes sense even without Valu. Because the bossfight in OOT is a big, undead fire dragon, and also dodongos are kinda like flightless rock dragons in a way.
ОтветитьI’m late but I just noticed that Godan’s dialogue is almost identical to the Sheikah monks in BotW.
Coincidence? I think not! (Lore-wise at least)
Zeltik audio book when?
ОтветитьI like to think if we had gotten a dungeon for the 3rd pearl and a temple for a 3rd sage it would have been Goron since the Rito now live on what was most likely death mountain and the Goron have become nomadic traders it would make sense that they would have turned to Jabun for protection and guidance as they traverse the great sea with the temple being something jabun would have had to transport the sage to directly maybe an underwater cavern along a hydrothermal vent a temple of water filled with magma and steam or something
ОтветитьI would really like to see this video but instead of using BoTW, now using what we know from the Zonai in ToTK who make all these designs and technologies. Love it :)
ОтветитьWhere did the gerudo go after the flood in windwaker
Ответитьinteresting to note is how the boss in tower of the gods is very similar to bongo bongo and when you consider the shadow temple being used by the shiekah in OOT as well
ОтветитьTo be fair to the encyclopedia, Death Mountain has moved within the series. Or rather, the name has been applied to diffetent peaks. It's been suspected for a long time that the Hyrule in the games has been the island seen off the coast in Zelda 2 where you find the Grand Palace and the Tower of Darunia. This was confirmed by BotW and TotK which clearly shows the land separated from a larger continent with oceans along all other sides. This means that both the volcanic region on the continent and that on the island have both shared the title of Death Mountain. The continental region even has its own Spectacle Rock too.
Further to this, what is now called the Eldin region is all volcanic and encircles Zora's Domain so it isn't impossible for the original Death Mountain to become inactive and another peak to erupt into what became known as Dragon Roost. The fact it didn't retain the name Death Mountain does suggest it is a different peak as well.
I still believe tower of the gods is a shrine
ОтветитьI still find it weird that Gorons lived in the mountains and the only thing that survived the great flood was the mountains but they somehow became nomads nearly dying out while the zoras became the rito's a water faring race even in majoras mask showing they live in salt water but suddenly forced onto land and the air cause they couldnt handle the water.
meanwhile the hylians were like "lmao I just got on with it bitch" while the gerudo were like "theres no desert so guess I'll perish"
The twin dragon doors look very close to large Zonai doors in TotK
ОтветитьI always thought the Rito’s evolutionary jump was sort dumb and backwards. Why would an aquatic people evolve into a avian people in a world filled with water? I’d say it would make more sense that the Gorons or Hylians Evolved wings, rather than the Zora.
ОтветитьSend our young into the dungeon to earn their wings.
Yes yes. Let’s traumatize them young so they know what to face in the future. 😂
Serious wtf were they thinking signing kids and teens into this dungeon!?
What an awesome collab
ОтветитьPersonally, I think the Redeads are meant to be never aging guardians of their roaming grounds. Both in Oot and WW. One way to get this is to create zombies.
ОтветитьLooking at this now... the Tower of the Gods resemble Zonai technology remarkably.. but that's just me speculating..
ОтветитьYou missed the chance to talk about the fact of godess tower boss is so similar to the boss of the shadow temple in oot.
ОтветитьMy brother and i are dyslexic, and when we were kids we didnt call it the forsaken fortress. We called it the foreskin fortress. It took a while for us to figure it out.
ОтветитьTotk has bassicaly proven that dragon roost is death mountian. (Spoilers)
The last boss of death mountian in totk is a marbled gohma very similar to wind wakers.
The shrine music in the Gohdan part was a nice touch
ОтветитьThese should also be podcasts
ОтветитьCan't remember where I read/heard it from but I'm pretty sure Stalfos was officially retconned into being mortals that died in magic rich areas in grief circumstances. For example, the hero of time eventually becomes a Stalfos in twilight princess but it was heavily hinted that it happened to him not just because he was lost in the forest but because he died with a deep regret of not passing on his skills. So having Stalfos in the earth temple isn't much of a reach with that change. To be honest I missed when they were just victims of the lost woods. Seeing Ganon's minions everywhere is one thing, but its still nice for certain areas to have their own natural predators/monsters.
Also I've grown so used to Nintendo being half ass about connecting Zelda game lore since the jacked up "official" timeline that I barely noticed how smooth of an excuse you had for that writer at first. We all know when he wrote that zoras' domain became dragon roost island he had no idea what he was talking about and not that death mountain had become the new domain of the zoras. I'm sure they're out there somewhere, silently thanking you for making it look like they didn't fuck it up in the first place.
This guy’s like the Vaatividya of LOTZ
ОтветитьLove that you used the nokron/nokstella music from elden ring
ОтветитьWhat if volvagia was “evil” because he had some sort of precognition and he saw that the rito would take over death mountain. So to prepare for the future he started killing the gorons. I don’t think this is the case but it’s a thought I had.
ОтветитьSorry m8, I'd love to watch this video, but I just can't stand colab videos. I want to listen to a single voice, not multiple, because any difference in quality or tone between the two voices is as dissonant to me as the laugh track on old sitcoms that doesn't match the actual content of the show itself.
ОтветитьTheres a link to the artist but what exactly it the song you used for the intro? I cant find it at all on their page
Ответитьumm you sure its shieka and not zonia? i mean the blue and greeen is ther but the crown on the boss seems to be more zonia...
ОтветитьReally wish they'd bring this game to switch
ОтветитьI'm putting on the tin foil hat. The entrance of Dragon Roost Cavern and some aspects of the architecture look similar to what's now being depicted as Zonai symbology in TOTK. I don't think those guys in the statues are meant to be gorons.
Ответитьi never understood why the zora would need to evolve into the rito... like... if the world is flooded, isn't that... better for fish-people? how is being a bird-person better when you're already set up to live in the water...
ОтветитьI love how Hyrule was flooded and the Fish people are like nah we’re birds now
ОтветитьImagine if the ancient Sheikah has a prophecy for every hero in the time line and pre preps trials for whover comes to take on that role.
ОтветитьI'd like to put forth the idea that Dragon Roost and Fire Mountain are indeed both the same mountain, but instead of being Death Mountain specifically are the two peaks of Death Mountain's most famous landmark: Spectacle Rock. In Ocarina of Time Spectacle Rock is located within Death Mountain Crater as two large but separate peaks upon one sits a Heart Piece (A call back to A Link to the Past, I would have to guess.) It's not impossible to think that the outer rim of Death Mountain was destroyed in the flood, but shielded Spectacle from the same fate. If we were to believe that, and believe the theory that Ocarina of Time's Fire Temple is sealed within Spectacle Rock, then these two places could be what remains of the Fire Temple, altered by the Gorons either before or after the flood.
ОтветитьThe toon link games are some of the best, i wish we had more
ОтветитьJust rewatching this video today and realized, maybe it's nothing, but the twin dragons facing each other it's similar to the carvings on the door in the trailer of tears of the kingdom. Or maybe I'm reaching.
ОтветитьWait! Valoo's tummy could be full of Gorons?!
ОтветитьVolvagia isn't evil. There is an official manga where child Link actually meets him as a baby dragon, and in the 7 years that follow Ganondorf corrupts the baby and controls it to be how it is. When Link delivers the killing strike Ganondorf's control is broken and Volvagia remembers Link from all that time ago. It's actually really sad 10/10 would cry again.
Ответитьdid you know tats the evil power behind GANON representing ( SATAN) the Devil ?! the true evil
Ответитьi am so hipt cant wait of this ART
ОтветитьI hate that evolved was used in the translation when it is clear as day that the sky spirit saved the Rito by transforming them.
ОтветитьIf your home is behind an elaborate maze of your design wouldn't you want to leave a hint on how to get back inside?
ОтветитьI’ve always been creeped out by the Earth Temple dungeon, it was the first one where I felt truly terrified playing a Zelda game. I remember vividly screaming in fear when one of the Redeads shrieked at me, something that I’ve experienced multiple times during and even before entering the dungeon. Guess the creepy atmosphere and the Redead shrieks finally broke me.
Strangely enough, the room with the ReDead statue, once lit up, felt like a safe place, away from the darkness and everything that lies within it. That damn statue, though, always served as a grim reminder that even though I felt safe, I was not welcomed in the dungeon. Only the dead belong there…
I thought the stone figures on the blocks at the beginning of dragon roost temple were depictions Dragons
