Would you recommend the tamron 28-200 2.8-5.6 for portraits and landscape photography

Holy trinity for event? It means 3 bodies right? Or 2 bodies with lens switches? 28-75 + 85 or 20 + 35-150 makes waaaay more sense

Cant believe tamron has no dust for 3 years. 17-70 collected a lot after single trip, and 35-150 collected a bit for very short amount of time.

I'm confused...I have an a7s3, am I supposed to be buying FE or E mount? I have all E mount lenses and the Tamron is E mount...but I read that FE is for full frame today...so am I using the wrong lenses? Atleast my fx30 can use the Aspc lenses...😅

I own 28-75 with sony 85 but for two lenses i'll recommend 35-150 and 17-28 as the second lens.

I want to get one f2.8 travel zoom lens. My options are tamron 28-200mm f2.8-5.6, Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 G2 and Sigma 24-70mm f2.8. My preference is Photography only. Though I'm still determining about 28-200 low light capability. So what do you think? Or anyone who has these lenses.

Which Sony camera were you using? Is the Tamron 18-400 for the A7's the best for amateurs?

I just picked up the Samyang 135mm, and all I can say is it’s crazy sharp, and a lot cheaper than sony or Tamron.

What would you recommend for surveillance/investigative type work for the dark of night. GMaster looks like what you would say, but I need something as I am at a distance. Cannot really do post editing to keep the integrity of the picture.

I'm thinking about the Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 for short to medium ranges and the Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6 for medium to long ranges... Thank you for the great suggestions and as a person who at the edge of switching to Sony system, I think I will definitely starting with the trinity set and 85mm 1.8/f or 55mm 1.8/f. 28~200mm is tempting when doing outdoor events though.

Jake, I've had the Sony 85mm from the moment I ordered my A7C, and I also have the extension tubes you recommend. But I am nonplused how to get actual 1:1 macro from that setup. I'd hoped to copy old 35mm slides with the setup, but there's no way with both the 10mm and 16mm tubes combined to get the Sony 85 close enough for a 35mm slide or neg to fill the frame.
However I DID get the 70-180 Tamron to almost fully fill the frame at its 1:3 macro setting.

I think Tamron make great lenses. Weather sealing is very good and light weight for travel are a big benefit. The optics are excellent & I like the fact that you have a constant Aperture through the zoom range. Great value for money.

I have been using the Sony 24-104 and Sony 70-200 f4 as my travel photography lenses. Am thinking of getting the tamron 28-200 as a one lens solution on my A74 and then have my 16-35 f2.8 GM on my A73 for special situations.
Good review. Tamron seems to be coming up with great low cost quality options. So much more choice now than when I first got my A73 a few years back.

I just bought the A7III. I am a casual vacation/concert picture taker but truly enjoy taking good/great pictures. I love shooting the performers at concerts, landscapes, and flowers and tight shots. Would you still recommend the Tamron 17-28 and the Tamron 28-200? Any other lens? Thanks so much for this most helpful video and your advice on this!
