The Dali looks naked without parts of a bridge on top of her, maybe there is some chances of her going to Gaza as an aid ship?

The Vision of the Seas is Royal Caribbean. carnival Cruises should be the next one to drop off/pick up new cruisers coming up next! They’re the only cruise ships That depart from Baltimore. ☺️

The catwalk you are describing is not from the top of the truss but was between the roadway portion and the bottom cross members of the truss. Look very carefully at the underside of the complete bridge you showed the underneath portion of the main span, and you can make out the catwalk which was used to make inspections of the bottom portions and underneath parts of the roadway.
The port anchor was released. The DALI is tied to the pier on the port side so we see the starboard side of the ship and the starboard anchor is still firmly attached in its recess.

As long as it may take all the cargo containers should be inspected for stolen good and now, spoiled goods.
It would be interesting to find out how many stolen vehicles were headed out of the United States.

I'm surprised they haven't offloaded more undamaged containers. The people that shipped them must be hopping mad that their stuff is still sitting there and isn't getting delivered.

at 13: 25 - you can see a better look at all the damaged containers. They are at least 5 deep and 12 across. I estimate 60 or more containers are among the damaged cargo.

So disappointed that there are NO videos of the roadway removal. I was looking forward to seeing it. How is it possible that nobody recorded the removal????? except for a 1 min shot of one white bag being removed? I had my popcorn all ready to pop.

No, the Key bridge road is not completely off Dali ship, the largest piece of the road is, but there are smaller pieces of the road that still remain on Dali ship, and they will probably not even need to be removed. I understand the Dali is still able to sail with its own propeller, chances are that it will sail to Norfolk for repairs probaly assisted by tugs but not towed by tugs, since that is approx a 36-48 hrs trip at an average speed of 5 kts per hour. Jeffostroff can always correct me if I am mistaking any info about the matter. I love the accuracy of the host of this channel. Bst rgs

The stbd anchor is still stowed in the hawse pipe. The chain is not sheared off. The The port anchor chain was disconnected at a shackle after several shots of chain and that anchor and its chain may have been recovered prior to movement of the Dali.

I often wonder what was in those containers on the bow that were crushed? Hopefully, nobody's furniture that was being relocated to their new home overseas! Not to mention people and companies waiting for whatever was in all those other containers onboard. Delayed for months.

The "forklift" is actually a "top loader" for picking containers. The crushed containers won't be dealt with until the bridge debris is removed. I like your analysis of cleanup process. What surprises me is it doesn't appear to be getting unloaded at all.

The affected area of the Bow is a small percentage of the ship. I can’t imagine them scrapping an entire ship for such a small section. Yes it will take time in drydock to recreate the bow buy how long?

US taxpayer foots the bill for clean up, the bridge replacement, damage to Dali, loss of income to owner of ship and probably no questions asked citizenship to the crew for inconvenience and mental stress for our racist bridge ruining their lives by the unprovoked attack on their vessel.

Here's something I recently learned by listening to the local newscasts concerning the Dali. "Norfolk" is pronounced "Norfuk" and this is also the pronunciation for the town in England, as well. Thank you for your interesting summaries! I have really enjoyed them!

As explained by Sal Mercogliano of What's Going On With Shipping (Sal is an industry expert and is often called upon to analyze ship accidents. I have seen him on TV episodes of maritime accidents, including the Ever Given and the Suez Canal), the anchor chain described here does not drop outside of the hull to the anchor.

The chain travels inside a heavy guide tube that guides it down to the end of the port side anchor, which is still embedded in its storage compartment. That anchor was never dropped. The one on the other side was. Dropping the starboard anchor would have swiveled the bow directly into the bridge pier. By dropping the port anchor only, they tried to force the bow away from the pier. Unfortunately, it did not work.

Also, that section of the bridge that the Chessie 1000 was attached to IS the remainder of the bridge that fell on top of the Dali's bow.

Please don't speculate about what we are seeing. Base your descriptions on actual facts. That is what we should be hearing - not "Fake News".

The bridge supports both being sheared? How about just the first one failing and the weight of the suspended structure falling dragged them both over the bow instead as it fell into the channel?
Looks like no damage low down either on the ship, and to the island the bridge supports were standing on either.

That is still the lower deck of the bridge on the bow still lots of steel to go
You can see the transverse girders on the bow .Plus all the concrete pillars.
There is 20' of steel on the deck look at the size of the men compared to the debris....
