Sooo TRUE!! Me desempeño con la tematica de la Sustentabilidad Social en el Espacio Construido y se que positivamente, ESTE es exactamente el balance que debe hacerse! Por esa misma razon decidi no quedarme en los US y me vire pa Europa! Ahora estoy en Suiza, donde cada dia me asombra el respeto que se tiene por el otro, reflejado por ejemplo en el multilingüismo y el multiculturalismo igualitarios (4 culturas y lenguas nacionales), y tambien en su sistema politico sui-generis (democracia directa), ademas cada dia no me canso de agradecer la increible tranquilidad que hay en este pais! Asi debiese ser siempre, esa es la razon por la cual tampoco me volveria a Latinoamerica. Como es posible que paises tan enormemente ricos se den el lujo de vivir tan mal? NO hay disculpa posible!!! Regardless of any belief, race, gender, sexual orientation etc, rich and poor etc, put them aside, focus on things are vital to people first. Education, Healthcare, family, safety and infrastructure etc. It is sad that USA do not focus on those basic elements😢

America waa once described by a friend as a 'hellish' place where all the inhabitants think it's actually a heaven because they know nothing better as they rarely travel outside of their own state.

Antonaetta, well explained and fully true. But, please, do not step in the same trap as all US citizens, claiming and naming the US "America". America is the name of the entire continent and not a country! There is no country named "America". US citizens will never understand, that chilenan, brazilians, mexicans, canadians and all civilians of all countries in the northern and southern part of the american continent are "Americans". US citizens seem not to know the difference between a country and a continent. This probably again relates to the lack of education, you mentioned the reasons already.

The situation of homeless people in the US makes me profoundly sad. I can't imagine that happening in Spain

you assessment of homelessness in Spain is extremely disingenuous. You cannot fully describe the situation in spain without talking about squatters (okupas). Some of the most dangerous neighbors in europe if not the world are in spain. There are neighborhoods which are up to 90% squatters, with rampant drug traffiking , violence, and where police don't even want to enter.
Yes there are huge problems in the US, but there are also massive problems in Spain. Just by going to the clean areas in Spain really is being engañosa.

They say less is more and Spain is obviously living proof of it. However, the main reason why Spain have less problems then America is bc they dont have as many ppl as America does. As of a 2022 the total population of Spain was 47.78 million for which north America population is about 400,00,000 as of 2024. Simple math suggest that less ppl cause less problems. The more ppl more problems. With less ppl or community-based societies communication it much more easier than in much more larger ones. The more ppl that there are the more food, shelter etc and this causes is a lot of miscommunication, commotion and animosity. With less ppl you can accomplish more. America needs to stop cramming ppl up in cities that cause toxicity.

As a 48 year old , now disabled adult American man, I cannot stand living in the USA. If I lived in a nation like Spain, I would not be disabled. I would be able to get the treatments I need to recover and rejoin society and live a productive, fulfilling life, but no, I'm in this shithole that brainwashed parrots say is "the greatest nation in history of the world"! 🤬🤡
