This channel is dedicated to all the gold seeking Pickleballers out there who dink responsibly and stay out of the kitchen. We have all levels come through the channel, but we concentrate on the 4.0s, 4.5s and up to 5.5s.
I started this channel quite by accident, I was recording my games to do film study and get better. I did not have time or money for lessons from pro pickleball coach, so I started watching all my screwups. People that I was playing with started to ask if they could watch too and I said sure. That helped all of us a lot to improve our game, strategy, mental toughness, and techniques. Now we have new pickleball videos published several times a week. We occasionally have pro pickleball players on the channel. Mostly its non pro pickleball players on their quest to 5.0 pickleball. We have all levels come through the channel: 4.0 pickleball, 4.5 pickleball and up to 5.5 pickleball with the pros.

The 4th shot is the most underrated shot in pickleball. There are four types of shots you can hit today. We're going to do the roll. It is vital to keep your opponents back It is vital to keep your opponents back, and here's what not to do: this is Kyle Yates, he hits a third shot and Ankush hits a horrible fourth shot. Here is another example of what not to do: Ankush hits a third shot drop and Hercilio should have hit a forehand roll.

Here's what they should have done: Hercilio hits a third shot drop and Ankush rolls it back deep, gets Hercilio to move back. Se gain advantage of the point, and we win it. Here is it in slow motion and Ankush bends his knees goes from low to high with that backhand he pushes Hercilio back, and we gain advantage of the point. Here's one more slow motion replay and this is beautiful. You gain advantage of the point you, keep your opponents back. This is a ClearOne.

Third shot drop. Kyle Yates, it's a beautiful backhand roll. They gain advantage of the point, and they win. Kyle Yates is so good at doing this!
Here's a slow motion replay: he bends his knees, goes from low to high, hits it right at Tony's feet. Here's another one: bends his knees hits it deep, and he forces an error. This is what you want to do, this is how you win pickleball matches. This is what I want you to learn. It is just a beautiful thing to see. Here is Ben Johns. And Ben Johns does this so well! He hits a fourth shot roll followed by a drop. It's just beautiful let's see that in slow motion: going from low to high, put some nice top spin on it, he actually put side spin. This is actually a very good point: if you put some side spin the ball is going to bounce funny.

That's another example: Ben Johns rolls it, and here is Simone. Simone hits a forehand roll. She does not let the ball bounce. If you are doing this, you are letting your opponents into the kitchen losing the advantage of the point. You're gonna lose matches. To summarize you hit a fourth shot roll because you keep your opponents back obviously.
That's what you want to do in pickleball the fourth shot is so important! If you put some side spin, it's gonna bounce funny, and it's gonna cause more errors. If it's at waist level or lower go from low to high put top spin. This will cause it to get over the net, and then sink.
