i consider hl alyx the third part due to its ending and quality, but a true hl3 would be the only game to rival gta6 in terms of hype ( not sales )

I legit just started playing the franchise a few weeks ago and played Black Mesa. With all these updates I’ll be sure to play through the original when I’m done with 2 episode 2.

I just played through this after 20 plus years. Still holds up after all these years. Best part since it was on my steam account never lost it after all this time.

The Alyx game retro'd the storyline; it is woke shoite now, like most other Western franchises. Time to keep what we have and move on. I don't want anymore Valve woke changes to their great game and story.

Ironic but I have every copy and every edition. All boxed some still in plastic. I have never felt the need to play the game. It didn't interest me then and I have contemplated several times installing the whole franchise and starting at page one. But at 53 you tend to loose interest.
Like I said no interest.. only reason I have them all is an estate sale. Otherwise never would have bought them to begin with.
If I remember right we we're just cracking open Oblivion and everything went to the way side.. Half life set aside for now. ✌

An update for a 25 year old game no one cares about anymore because vlave made it clear they don't give a fuck about it either. Great thanks. They don't even make games anymore really. I'm sure everyone who played ep2 and was left with a cliffhanger ending 16 years ago are very happy about this news. Valve is just walmart for video games at this point, kinda sad but not really.

Okay it's cool that they keep fixing up the original but there's still no way I'd recommend it in 2023. If someone wants to experience Half Life as a new player looking for a great game with immersive story that holds up today, instead of one that held up 25 years ago but hasn't for a long time, they should be playing Black Mesa instead.

Hoping for a turnaround at Valve where they can return to their roots in making great games that can be played for decades after with the same joy as the first time. They’ve been so dormant on the gaming side beyond Alyx and a few other projects but nothing truly new I’d love to see Team Fortress 3 and even 3rd main entries to half life/portal.

My only complaint is that they didn't add the PS2 models. Their just the HD models, but actually good.

The new versions is actually an easy mode. Love, what Valve are doing with one of the best game of all of the time, but the new fast pace version is easier.

I’d love to see the scientist, security, marine, and G-Man models get repaired, a la what BrussTrigger did.

That would be cool if we could get CS 1.7 next.
