Dit liedje heeft mijn ex man gespeeld op zijn smartphone in het ziekenhuis toen ik wakker werd uit coma na een aanrijding zebrapad door een onoplettend bestuurder bestelbus met zwaar hersenletsel en bloeding en hechtingen en schedelbreuk en nu loop ik voorts met rollator ipv normaal lopend en fietsend wat ik niet meer kan door deze aanrijding en dit liedje beschrijft sindsdien mijn leven: like a rollercoaster 😪 ik heb het vertrouwen in de mensen verloren maar niet in mezelf en de kleine kring mensen om me heen. Maar voor mij uit de dood opgestaan mens is deze maatschappij nog erger dan een rollercoaster maar onbegrijpelijk wat mensen elkaar aandoen en wat gedoogd wordt 😪 ik voelde me altijd al een outsider en nu nog meer 😪 dit liedje geeft me heel veel. My boyfriend and I were separated during 2020 covid for almost a year. He found this song and sent it to me. I fell in love with it because it told the story of what we were going thru. So coincidentally I happen to know a guy who is good friends with Danny, We were chilling having a beer tonight and listening to music and he asked me what I thought about this song, I told him that the first time I heard it that it was like listening to one of the country legends, certainly at the start of the song (the first time I heard it) I thought it was a bit like Willie Nelson, he immediately said say that again and then he recorded me on video and sent it to Danny who replied with a thank you, No... In de eerste seconde pakte het meteen al.. ik legde mn gereedschap neer en ging luisteren.. één van de weinige momenten dat muziek uit de "mainstream" ether me raakt, maar dit is echt een prachtig nummer!
