Yeah, you just discover lots of different music and get caught up but eventually just go back to the bands you always loved. It always comes back to Metallica, Maiden, Roses and AC/DC for me
ОтветитьMy dad used to play Metallica, MegaDeth, AC/DC, Pantera, Nirvana, Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden ect to make me go to sleep as a baby.
ОтветитьAmazingly accurate😂 i am currently in the indian music phase😂🤘
ОтветитьSo
ОтветитьMetal is the worst music genre
ОтветитьI am 48 now....and I can confirm you nailed it!
Ответитьyou forgot about the megadeth phase
ОтветитьI think lots of more modern metal music is just too heavy. Or maybe I'm just getting old.
Ответить😁😁
ОтветитьThe most annoying phase (imo) is "hipster metalhead", when you only listen to unknown local bands that record on tapes and consider every "known" band shitty just because they are popular XD
ОтветитьThe best part is i’ve went through almost all of this in a little less than a year.
ОтветитьSteps for me.
1. My mom introduced me to The Offspring.
2. My mom introduced me to Nu Metal
3. I listened to dubstep for 3 years
4. I went back to metal (this time thrash)
5. I found Hammer Smashed Face
6. I found Black Sabbath
7. My stepdad introduced me to Anthrax and Megadeth
8. I now mostly listen to Nu Metal, Thrash Metal, Death Metal, And Heavy Metal.
i feel under attack 😭
ОтветитьNo obligatory ABBA phase. 4/10
ОтветитьIf you take out Nirvana and then basically everything between Pantera and Iron Maiden, this is my exact journey.
ОтветитьWow this was shockingly accurate 😂
ОтветитьOkAY Now THat iS HeAvy 💀
ОтветитьThe feeling of needing something heavier and heavier is definitely a real phenomenon with metal enthusiast, feeling something is missing musically till you find it is also a thing; and the ecstasy of finding the true metal sound your soul had been craving all along is life changing, a love and addictive for life 🖤
ОтветитьI listened to Death and now i'm in My Prog Metal era
ОтветитьRight now I'm in the in between Nirvana and Metallica example, lol! This is so accurate!
Ответитьi do all stages at once with some drumnbase as well
ОтветитьWhy did you blur out the Nevermind album cover?
ОтветитьMy evolution stopped at Electric Wizard and frankly I am completely fine with that
ОтветитьLMAO
ОтветитьStarted with Maiden almost 30 years ago and havent really gone back to them. Especially not Run to the Hills. Can take it or leave it.
ОтветитьNope. I started with Rammstein and then I discovered 70s, 80s metal and never again listened to modern shit.
ОтветитьI went from van halen and foreigner to black sabbath to metallica and megadeth to numetal then discovered cannibal corpse, nile, six feet under, kataklysm. Then discovered death core and all that newer shit like archspire and lorna shore. But nothing is as heavy as tom waits
ОтветитьI started with glam metal
ОтветитьYou forgot the “you discover all the niche black metal sub genres, get completely lost in ambient black dungeon synth, and now nobody gives you aux because it’s twenty minutes of the same 10 bars on repeat” phase
ОтветитьAs someone who legitimately enjoys Tigran Hamasyan, the Indian Konnakol phase was too real LMAO
ОтветитьTHIS IS SO REAL OMG
Ответитьelectric wizard 🔛🔝
ОтветитьFor me I just had an extended Imagine Dragons phase (basic, I know), which led into my pop punk phase, which led into my emo phase, which led back into another pop punk phase, which is how I discovered Beartooth, and now I’m stuck in a hard rock/metalcore phase that I’ve been loving.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite memories is my dad showing me Kill em All on a long drive
ОтветитьAnd you end up listenning to Nu-Metal... without irony... Even cringy ass Saliva, Godsmack and Limp Bizkit.
ОтветитьI don’t like death metal or black metal, so i chose the nu metal path.
*Listens to korn
“Ok, now THAT’S heavy.”
You didn’t include alt rock (dinosaur jr, my bloody valentine phase). Also, the Pink Floyd phase.
ОтветитьClassical music is just metal without electricity. All the vocabulary that metal has, classical already had.
ОтветитьMy introduction to Metal was my dad blasting Cowboys From Hell when I was like 8 or something, loved Metal ever since
ОтветитьMy first two metal artists were Igorrr and Gojira, so maybe I've just always been desensitised.
Oh wait, yeah... They're French... 😅
Bro emoted too many times💀
ОтветитьWhen I was younger I was mainly into classic rock bands like thin Lizzy and head east UFO MSG Tesla stuff like that and then this guy who drove the SEPTA buses gave me his old collection of heavy metal tapes which was quite impressive it had Exodus pleasures of the flesh and actually the original version of killing is my business by Megadeth along with several others including testament the legacy and for a while there testament and metal Church were the hardest bands I'd ever heard and when you kept saying now that's heavy! I started grinning ear to ear because that was my exact reaction when I heard the legacy for the first time.. it helped that it was a tape and that I was using headphones that were absolutely no joke even with a CD player also if you can get AC/DC let there be Rock on tape it's on a whole nother level with the guitars.
ОтветитьYou forgot the '80s pop metal phase and no I'm not just talking about the harder side of glam. It starts with the later Black Sabbath albums that were little more keyboard heavy and then moves to bands like MSG rage from the UK stormbringer the harder side of journey, Waysted, wildfire, more, vandenberg, whitesnake, streets, South gang, pretty boy floyd, Alice cooper, king kobra, the harder side of Foreigner, Ted Nugent, damn yankees, autograph, etc also speaking of heavy have you heard of a band called Sir Lord baltimore?
ОтветитьI had my jazz phase in the pandemic and now I am at the last stage
ОтветитьI still don't know how I went from acdc to gnaw their tongues.
ОтветитьYour an id..t nirvana? I guess you think your funny but everyone thinks they're something. You got picked on a lot as a kid didn't thought well maybe if I make them laugh they'll leave me alone. I'll play guitar but with no band because no one can stand me. Am I right?
Ответитьand all that to end up listening ghost
ОтветитьHahahaha, irony is i still love metal, but hes kinda right. As a metalhead for 24 years, i listened to everything and was 100% metal, and everything sucks for probably 10 years. I find myself today with a playlist consisting of over 24hrs of synthwave songs, another with rock/hardrock songs ranging from rush, boc, smashing pumpkins, chevelle, incubus, foo fighters, etc, and another that is an instrumental playlist ranging from metal to jazz. Im probably still about 65-70% metal now hahaha
