They let obvious bot farms run rampid. Meanwhile they banned me for trying to bot my account BACK to max combat level because they ported my original maxed RS account to their new EOC version of the game. I leveled fairly for 10 years of my childhood to reach late game content in ORIGINAL RS just for them to slap me in the face and say I have to start over if I want to play OSRS now. I'm a working adult, I don't have time to click trees and goblins for 1000 hours again just so I can reach endgame content again. Jagex suckks sooo much and doesn't care that I was a fair player since 2001 and stuck with them through their dumb trade-limit phase, I should've known they were trash and quit when back when they did that awful update. Worst company ever. Did me a service banning me so I didn't end up wasting my money on membership
ОтветитьIs this on OSRS?
ОтветитьJagex can fix the bot problem, they don't want to, Jagex profits from bots. They make money on the side and want Sir Pugger to find Jagexs compitition and ban them.
ОтветитьJust because they don’t respond to you doesn’t make them a bot. Most of the time I don’t even type back because the grind don’t stop also I’m watching a movie or something on the side
ОтветитьI recently started on a new ironman since I've never played one. I enjoyed it for the first hours, but then I tried to make some money with mining and smithing iron items, trying to mine some iron at the Varrock mines, and it was pretty much impossible. All the accounts looked the same, their names were scrambled, they had no items except an air staff. Eventually gave up there and bonded the account to have other ways of earning some GP. Shit's pretty damn insane in F2P. I also reported all of these accounts, when I was there, but I don't think anything happened.
ОтветитьThe only reason runescape still exists at all is because running "gold selling" websites is a ridiculously easy way to launder money, you may even make some legit money from actual people buying and selling
ОтветитьI believe jagex is running them
ОтветитьMining as a low level really sucks when some bot with a mithril pick steals my iron.
ОтветитьProof this game is shit. Honestly happy that people are doing this, it purposefully ruins the game, on the fault of the shitty mods and server rules for botting. I always play f2p because it's what I played as a kid, and I don't feel like paying for a month bond that I sometimes just wanna play for a week. Anyway, the bots are digustingly awful on f2p and it ruins the experience. You can just tell the administration for osrs and runescape in general is completely shot and i feel awful for such a great game made on simplistic software in early 2000s.
Ответитьwanted to make a hc ironman and do f2p content, bots everywhere really killed the experience
Ответитьnah for the most part people just dont talk. i ran a bot for 10 mins and it was banned. had over 100hrs legit work and lost it all for a 10 minute hack.
ОтветитьI have been having a blast on my Ultimate Iron Man on F2P... I would rather be alone than have to deal with bots...
Ответитьsir puggers easily to trick for a video btw, i member winding em up couple dmms ago as he thought me n my brother were vene farmers, went outta my way for a interview but couldnt knock down a vene accent so i never went through. truth is he just needs content so the 'truth' doesnt even matter, he plays a long either way.
Ответитьim saying this as a former botter but with my 2000usd laptop i would be able to run 10-12bots depending on what they are doing.. the computing power some of these farms has tells me its a company based on botting also with the price of electricity rising the profit margins are really bad for a suicide bot farm which is why i stopped.. basicly your paying 10cents to earn 9 cents.. so most people who has a use suicide farm would have to have acces to free or really cheap power
ОтветитьHey i think i found another bot in edgeville lol try world 552 rsn is Ogam 420 u_u lvl3
ОтветитьDead Internet Theory
ОтветитьSo when u gonna share some of that money with your subscribers?
ОтветитьRunescape was my first love when it came to games, and was indeed what got me interested in the internet in the first place (I was a sheltered, poor kid growing up; I saw kids playing at the city library). I left when it wanted to become a WoW clone, and now it looks like it's dying from infestation.
ОтветитьI cant bot for a day without getting banned in f2p
2/5 p2p accounts almost maxed tho
fake
ОтветитьBeen playing F2P on the HCIM, and Ive seen the mining bots in the dwarven mine. I figured they must be bots, because I kept seeing many different names, but all of them kept saying roughly the same things. One time I was using the Lumbridge Home Teleport, leaving, and still got the same response after telling the bot they could have the spot xD
Ive also noticed LOADS of bots cutting Oak Trees right outside of the Falador East Bank. They might be the same lvl 13s though.
And you are suprised? there is no money in Free play so they dont care.
ОтветитьBots have killed the game. Ruined the economy and experience for legitimate players.
ОтветитьThese people are this stupid and bored? Go play a game
ОтветитьIve just accepted this game died in 2013 and moved on
ОтветитьFound this after a little digging, and it's honestly sad to see the game in this state. I decided to scratch my nostalgia itch after many years away, to find that my Old School Runescape character (who I never actually played, only selected a name for, realized none of my original 2007 stats were loaded, and then decided against playing) was hijacked - turned into a Jug>Jug of Water bot. Obviously they were using it as a GP generator to fuel an operation similar to this.
It's insane how rampant this is despite their apparent "anti-cheat measures" (which seem to have flagged quite the few people falsely, including those trying out the mobile version), so no short wonder that nobody wants to play it anymore.
Guess all it's good for is that little piece of nostalgia. Maybe I'll make an old school ironman to avoid the broken economy. :/
my ultimate goal is to now get SirPugger to follow me around asking if i want 10m and confirm i am bot but really i'm just kinda stoned not paying attention and watching another screen
Ответитьthe best runescape shitposter of all time and yall keep falling for it.
ОтветитьYou state that its not hard to code so they cut a huge corner, the correct phrase is, its not that hard to code so they cut a tiny corner here. cutting a huge corner signifies a bigger shortcut.
ОтветитьI reported myself for botting, i didn't, got banned, appealed it, its perna banned, my og account.
I was fed up with so many updates ignoring Ironman, cut out the xp rewards from events, let us get codmetics. Whatever, im done with the game & made sure of it
i was permanently banned on old school runescape about 5 years ago now, i was banned for real world trading when i never real world traded, and when i tried refuting it, they tried saying they had evidence but wouldnt show me. i tried many times to get my account back. after seeing this video, it frustrates me seeing how all of these bots go unpunished while i got fucked for nothing
Ответитьthey should put konwn bots in thier own economy, the only trades they sell to and receive are from other bots? wouldn't stop it but it would help real player economy while the mods watch the activity of who they sell to and ban the players not the bots ?? if the players are too scared to buy gold and items then that would help massively. that's just my 2 cents anyway
when I say own economy I mean in there get. their own separate market
Hey! I started playing Runescape last year, and I have to say the F2P worlds are some of the most upsetting gameplay experience I've ever had. Trying to level anything felt like an insane uphill battle, as most spots would be overrun by botters, there are bots in world 301(?) that repeat text constantly making the most popular world accessible to F2Pers nigh unusable at peak hours. I was desperate to find an MMO to scratch the itch that Final Fantasy XIV left behind, but it felt like I couldn't even get a good feel for the game before deciding to spend money, because of the sheer amount of bot accounts.
ОтветитьThis is kind of sad. But also why I couldn't get into Runescape when I tried to get into it. When I was a kid, my dad and I used to play a lot of WoW, and while I quit shortly after he passed, I've always had the MMO itch. It's in my blood. When the pandemic hit, I decided to try out F2P Runescape, and after about 15 hours ended up quitting because it was too much of a pain in the ass to compete with the bots.
Really sad, because he always talked so highly of it, and I have obviously read and seen HUNDREDS of people talking about how much fun it was back in the day. If this is ever fixed, or there are 'safe spots', I'd love to hear about it. Might give the game another shot.
I mean it is no secret, that Jagex lets them run their bots.
They profit from it, banning all the bots would leave the whole game empty.
Do you really believe that there would be so many worlds to hop on if the banned all the bots? I guess 80% of the Playerbase is made up of bots.
It's up to us to clean it up. If we see it, report it. Even if they keep coming. It's a digital war at this point. We have to all come together and do our part to report these bots so they can be destroyed.
Ответитьwhat a video lmao
ОтветитьFree to play has always been ruled by bots. Especially yea trees
ОтветитьThe icing on the cake is Jagex falsely banning genuine players for botting and refusing to do anything about it. If you got flagged by their "very accurate" systems despite not even doing anything you are going to get perma banned and stay perma banned because they won't care about you. Got falsely perma banned for botting myself. Joke of a company
ОтветитьMaybe jagex doesnt fix it because then the games real number of players would show, which makes the investors unhappy. Thats the true reason its not fixed.
ОтветитьThese are just the ones with rudimentary systwms. Once they figure out how to get chatgpt wired into it, you'll never be able to detect them.
ОтветитьMy theory is they are botting with phone simulators. The inputs are really different & is harder to detect. They were doing to many false bans when jamflex was trying to bot detect on mobile. i don't bot osrs for the record
ОтветитьIf there was a self learning ai that was able to learn the game and adapt would that be considered a bot
ОтветитьThey cannot give up on the foundation of the game!
Ответитьobese geek 😂
ОтветитьYou should check out the giant frogs near lumbridge full of bots in f2p
Ответитьmy bad for not subbing even tho i been watching for 6 years, happy new year G
ОтветитьLike this comment if you agree...
The Oldschool Runescape Economy & ENTIRE GAME Would be 1000% better if they just stopped the bots.. its that simple. They don't care to? hmmm
It's as easy as paying 10+ of US to act as security, scanning and banning... It's So Simple..
Get 2147m Likes on this so I can show Jagex
I found a cool spot to train my pure and a guy gave me 20m we just talked
