~Frostarion~
ОтветитьI know I just left a similar comment on Death, but this is literally the exact concept I wanted for my main Tav, because they started as an Elder Scrolls PC using this same Frostknife build. Seriously, are you reading my mind or something?
ОтветитьBrother. I can only have so many chars, but you keep making epic stuff like this, so i need to make more! Great work lad!
ОтветитьI will be first to say this. This is a really cool build
ОтветитьTwo daggers kinda look like vampire teeth... I'll act like that's not a coincidence!
ОтветитьIcetarion
Ответитьnot really related to the video that much but I dont know why I dont know how to have fun as a monk. I feel like not going for tavern brawler and potions is "weak" even though I know it isnt. Is there a way to make me stop thinking that way? Maybe a certain build or something?
ОтветитьI am definitely trying something like this
ОтветитьPrefect build for astarion! Definitely gonna be using this one over the vampire hunter build
ОтветитьI have been looking for a build that would effectively use Cold Snap for a while... I will definitely be trying this one out
ОтветитьNice! In my current run I just "acquired" this dagger and was going to put it on my Ice Archer. For this build, you might consider instead of twin casting Elemental Weapon on both daggers, put it on the primary dagger and the bow. The Coldsnap already has cold damage, and you can open up with a ranged attack creating ice surfaces before moving in to melee. Cold damage on every weapon. Maybe even replace the Winter's Clutches with the Snow-Dusted Monastery Gloves so your unarmed attacks also cause cold damage....
Ответитьis that Phendrana Drifts i hear? excellent music choice my friend.
ОтветитьAm I the only one that gets reminded of Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat with this build?
ОтветитьSo to ensure Wisdom is used, do you need to respec with the last level in monk all the time?
ОтветитьRogue / monk is pretty much what I always respec astarion into early game. It just makes sense for him.
In general, I find monk to be so versatile outside of the tavern brawler OP builds. Way of shadow is just my absolute favorite for evil runs. Whether it’s evil shadowheart, astarion, or the dark urge, shadow monk always fits.
Monk is even fun and versatile as a one level dip. With Pole Arm Master STILL being bugged to not apply damage riders, 1 monk / 11 spores Druid is a good way to get that feeling of a PAM full caster spores Druid for example
The Bard-barian is just a Skald from Pathfinder. My vote would be Lore Bard + Wild Magic Barbarian.
ОтветитьWait, Disciple of the Elements stuff works with rage? Might make a Four Elements Berserker Karlach
ОтветитьYou are one relentlessly creative bastard
Ответитьgreat videos and build.. :D
so I have this idea for an astarion vampire build, inspired by the vampire in monster manual and count strahds sheet
make Astarion into eiter an Enchantment wizard or necromancer.. both will work with the theme.
give him the starting stats
st. 8
dex. 13
con. 14
int: 17
wiz. 13
cha. 10
I only switched dex for int, from his original stats to make it lorefriendly.
use the spells meant for vampires in the monster manual and add some of count strahds, maybe even a bit of necromancer spells.
for gear.
Head. circle of bones or mental anguish or even hood of the weave
Gear. all gortash gear.
weapon: Woe
rings. crypt lord ring and Ring of Exalted Marrow
amulet. the spectators eyes
cloak. Nymph cloak.
if you wanna got inspired to make a build or wanne make a video of it, you are welcome to make a video.
I will call it the vampire lord or acended astarion.
of cause he will use the Thay wizard book, to get the ghouls
Such a rad and unique build 🎉
ОтветитьThat Ren and Stimpy meme where the middle aged guy wakes up would really fit in that opening intro sequence
ОтветитьA couple points of note. The bhaalist amulet would apply bleeding which gives disadvantage on con saves. So more likely to apply frost.
Shadow monk would likely add more utility to the build as if you are going frost you likely want frost spell casters meaning you want to be able to get out of the blast zone.
That being said you more or less have the entire shadow monk kit by level 6. So go 6 monk, 4 rogue 2 fighter. Gets you action surge twf and access to all weapons. What you give up is more or less I damage per hit on average. But you gain twf which gives your offhand 5-6 damage per hit. If you attack twice per hand that -4 and plus 10 every round.
If you want to go with the ice build but don't mind loosing the fang aspec drop the mainhand rhapsody and run the trident of waves (applies wet on hit) or the flail of ages ( applies frost on hit) both of these will be dex weapons because of monk and your dager will proc sneak attacks still. Optimal frost build up is actually dropping the dagger going flail mainhand and trident offhand then giving the dagger to somone with high ac.
Also the ice patch from the ring scales with your spellcasting dc. So if you give it to a caster set up with high spell dc like an enchantment wizard set up it will almost be a guaranteed prone so you could have your ice caster freeze the field then your monk go in and start bashing. The flail also does blugening and ice damage which is doubled vs frozen enemies. The glaive can be applied to the trident.
The glaive buff can also be twin cast by a sorcerer if you have them buff your weapons for you.
Nice build. Another thing is that monk buff your dagger damage to d8.
I think it’d work better if you focus more on frozen status. Baneful short sword and slicing short sword can help early game if you buff them both with the drake glaive for cold damage.
I also don’t know that the diadem is a good choice here. If you want control via ice surface then helm of arcane acunity seems better to me.
Also I am wondering if you buff any weapon that already has cold damage with the drake glaive then do we apply 4 stack of encrusted per attack. The nice thing about the encrusted/frozen is you can deal 8d10 to frozen enemies with either water whip or fist of unbroken air.
Missed opportunity to call it the Dio build
ОтветитьAfter taking a few months away from the game I recently got the urge to play again and looked up some builds thinking "Well I'm sure they aren't making many new builds now" and bro has me very happy to be wrong. This man stays on the grind.
ОтветитьCan anyone explain what he was talking about in the beginning of the build with the spell save DCs being different depending on the order of multiclassing?
