Terrifying moment plane engine catches fire moments after takeoff. Passengers aboard a Viva Aerobus survived what could have ended in a catastrophic accident when the plane's engine burst in flames mid-flight in Mexico. Mere minutes had passed when Flight VB518 had taken off from Guadalajara International Airport in Guadalajara and was headed to Los Angeles International Airport when the Airbus A320's second engine caught fire. A short video clip posted by Kimberlee García on Twitter showed flames and sparks coming from right engine.
