This is a great review hats off to Drive for actually taking the overland off road through some challenging tracks. What I can't understand is the constant comparison to a Land Rover Defender it is at least another $5k more for the farm spec 110 with steel wheels and a cloth interior and $30k more for a like for like comparison. That also includes the price of the Overland with lux entertainment and trail rated badge.
Ответить100k for a 5 seater😢😅😮
ОтветитьMost people drive these to the mall.
ОтветитьIs the 4xE available yet ?! "4 by E"
Ответить115k driveaway, resale will be shithouse and the v6 isn't that powerful or reliable.
Jeep is in trouble globally, Stellantis took the brand upmarket, alienated their core American market and just because Stellantis think they have a prestige product and price it so, the market doesn't agree.
great video, keep up the good work
ОтветитьWhat's going on with the front headrests? Not a nice look.
Ответитьsee in time if its reliable
ОтветитьIf you don't need all the ground clearance in OR2, just keep it on OR1, to retain a bit of comfort and compliance.
ОтветитьThe biggest mistake Jeep made was removing the Diesel 3.0 lEngine it had all the torque you needed at low RPM.
ОтветитьV6 fir over 100 grand you'd have to be stupid to buy this thing
ОтветитьI got to test drive on of these and what I noticed the most is that the build quality is just not there.
ОтветитьGreat review.
ОтветитьObviously as stable off road as a Toyota 76 series, same wheel lift characteristics, same instability, far superior comfort than 76 and better priced, take it any day over a hyped up useless 76 series.
End of the day, LR Defender shits it in over this & the 76.
Kudos for giving 4wds proper offroad tests
ОтветитьOnce again, black interior - not a fan.
Faux wood grain finish would be much better than piano black or matte black where wood grain isn’t appropriate.
I do prefer a spare on the back door or slung underneath as getting a spare tyre out when your boot is full, isn’t fun (especially when I have my fridge and battery and all the gear residing permanently in the load space).
Petrol engines don’t have a lot of engine (compression) braking unlike a diesel but HDC is the go.
It needs to be a turbo to have low end torque.
$109,000 auz $ is about $70k U.S., in the U.S . market , overland trail rated off road package or 5.7 hemi no longer can be ordered I was looking for one but no dealers order it
ОтветитьWhat a disappointment! and overpriced
ОтветитьDrink more fuel than my Y62 patrol and crappy torque
ОтветитьJeep and Landrover ? Lets do a survey of tow truck drivers for the favourite.. ;)
ОтветитьYeah…. No
ОтветитьTurbos blow at 100 to 160000km without fail , expensive to repair , Grand Cherokee , the turbo ? Err there is none , so the motor is way more reliable .
ОтветитьDefender all the way mate, this is just a tank on wheels
ОтветитьNo freaking way! Parking the “un-reliability of LR Defenders” aside, the terrain response modes on LRs are second to none. Also, the un-reliability of Defenders are mostly over stated. For MY22+ onwards, a whole heap of issues have already been resolved. All modern cars have problems (yes....including Toyotas...) people! Just buy whatever you are able to afford in your budget and enjoy the car!
ОтветитьNeeded a better replacement for the older model v6 diesel or v8 hemi.
Pricing seems pretty wild for the driveline out of the base model 2011 grand Cherokee.
Both are unreliable pieces of crap. I'd rather take a risk with a Tank 300 than either a Jeep or a Land Rover.
Ответить1 travels 95km and the other 105km before breaking down. Tough choice to pick a winner.
ОтветитьDrives like a boat on road
ОтветитьI had a wk2 V6 diesel. Was awesome off road and fantastic on road. Service at the dealer was disgusting. $1490 for an oil change and filter. Only ever did that once.
