Introducing Talkpal - AI Language Tutor

Unusably bad. Poor understanding and literally the google translator voice in response. Who would pay for this?! (FYI: I tried it with German)

I payed for that. Really impressive. My only drawback is the impossibility to save the chat to continue aftwards. Any future update add this feature?

Talks too fast. When I asked her to speak more slowly, she apologized but continued to speak too fast! Seems to be an excellent system but needs to speak slower.

I started using today the free version for Dutch, quite impressed. Intermediate student. However, I only managed to read the bot questions and type my answers, is there a way to listen to the questions too? Also, is there a tutorial somewhere? I might be interested in the premium version but need more information first.

Tried it, unfortunately it seems that it's just a front end for GPT3.5 with no real tutoring.
When I asked the bot I want to learn a certain lenguage, it just anwered in the lines of "that's great, you should do that then!" without triggering any "classes".

This could be improved so much by just using a good system prompt, but as it is it's just ChatGPT with extra steps.

I'm currently looking into this, however I find it hard for a complete beginner. I'm trying to learn French, but the French AI tutor will only answer in French (and high level at that) , while the English AI will insist on teaching English. There doesn't seem to be a starting point for someone who needs correction in their native language in the beginning,
