👍 solid info 👏
ОтветитьYou're not going to offset the cost of your equipment for a long time so be prepared to be broke the first few years especially if voice over is a primary source of income.
Ответитьthe subtitles are fuckin trolling
ОтветитьI love your explanation, as someone who has always loved acting and just living into a character, just never had the courage to start or never knew where to start, but honestly I would search someone who has experience and that can teach me how to voice act
ОтветитьThis is so great and so applicable to many different types of dream jobs for people.
ОтветитьI'm not in it for the money. I'm stuck in a dead end in life. I just want to make some people happy before I die.
ОтветитьThis is as raw as it gets. I've admired this for a long time and ashamed to say how long I've been in a state of analysis paralysis. I pray that I'll be able to shake this because I know that I could have what it takes.
ОтветитьI have a really thick Scottish accent and non scots struggle to understand me but i struggle to speak without my accent would that limit me and make things more difficult
ОтветитьAfter 28 years, I finally understand the meaning you got to know some people. You got to know people so they can get to know you so they can see if you're right for the role.
ОтветитьKeep up the good work
ОтветитьI'm late for the party, but I just wanted to give my two cents about the microphone thing. DON'T BUY A FANCY MICROPHONE. Unless you know for a fact this is what you want to do professionally, you're not gonna get anything from an expensive microphone.
But if you want to spend money in a good microphone, don't buy a usb one. This is what I did, and I regret it, I would have been better off with a cheaper condenser microphone and a sound card. Try getting a microphone that's very sensitive (but affordable), you want it to be able to pick your entire vocal range, and you can fix the noise by getting into a closet or a sleeping bag.
Good luck.
Pd. Also, you don't have to be a voice actor to be able to work with your voice. There's plenty of job opportunities like comercials, and the sort.
get started by just recordcing youirslef
ОтветитьThis was a long time ago you posted this and I loved the just do it advice so I decided to record myself speaking over this video and following the exact same rhythm of your speak but instead of what you are saying in this video, it’s me talking about the different ways to assault a toddler and get away with it
Ответить"Start making shit." I really enjoy how you say this and it's true.
ОтветитьWhen you say "make your own stuff" does FanDubs fall into that category??
Ответитьwhats the website?
Ответитьhelp me i want to get into voice acting!
ОтветитьOmg!!! Where were you before???
Tomorrow I have an appointment with a voice-over supervisor for a recording, but before that I never imagined that I would have to act..
But you know, I'm not giving up and I'm going to go on. :)
When you said take a paid class from a reputable person my first thought was “do you have a class?”
ОтветитьI was told to get my foot in the door. So I kicked down the f—ing door and held the producers wide hostage! And that’s why I’m band at the last existing blockbuster
ОтветитьI appreciate your realness about this field.
ОтветитьIf he's not Fat he's Handsome
ОтветитьInstruction unclear. I'm a potato. 🤧
ОтветитьI agree that the acting is important than if you recognize the voice, if anything not recognizing should just be a shocker.
ОтветитьThis is the best video ive seen. You are so straightforward, thank you so much, if i ever make it big im naming you alone.
Ответитьmy focus is on animation, but I want my personal VO work to sound good. Thanks for this video!
ОтветитьIf you think your voice sound cringe on recordings, speak louder and with more confidence.
Ответитьi know this is 2 years old any no one but few will see this, i plan no i will go to make it as a prof VA only until recently have i been given some freedoms in my life. for every path i've chosen or taken i have been choked out of them, eithor via school, family, debt
i became a construction worker and abandoned every one of my hobbies and lost myself. it wasnt until i chose to go with my brother to whom i worked with to LA because he was taking modeling classes, and then went to Colossalcon and met the VA's toph and escanor.
now my time is coming and freedom is about out i almost have a house with my brother who shares the same desires and goals to aspire to. both of us choked with our living conditions no money useless degrees and debt
hearing this video its the same as said from toph no quite word for word but direction the website the competitive nature and the joy that can go into it
thank you pro zd i hope in the future to happen to work on the same project as you and you'll never know it was me
I've been wanting to go into Voice Acting for a while now and this was super helpful to grab a good perspective on the VA industry and their journey into it. Hopefully I can take my first step forward into Voice Acting
ОтветитьYou are the reason I wanted to do voice acting. Fear is the only thing. But more practice.
ОтветитьLooking forward to working with you someday. See you there. ✌-Dakota Farnsworth
Ответитьbryce papenrook is my favourite voice actor because he’s in everything and i can tell every time and i still love every character he does 😂
Ответитьyou had me at, "none of that FUCKING matters"🤣
ОтветитьI like the calming music in the background. It helps me feel better after feeling like I annoyed you. 😅. Btw i wanted this again bc I thought u mentioned a place where you can audition for things. But I missed it again.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI've come to realize that as much as I absolutely love voice acting, I only enjoy it when it's on my own terms. I'm glad I found this video because otherwise I might have spent lots of time and money on something that isn't fulfilling.
Thanks, SungWon
You said it all Brother 💯
Ответить1. Get good at acting
2. Audition
3. Network
4. Make shit
ProZD:
if you're still interested, then break a leg

SCREAMS*
Voice acting practice is really awkward around family members ;-;
ОтветитьThank you for this, genuinely thank you
ОтветитьKana is right...
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьim watching this video 2 years after and thank you for giving this info it was very much needed
ОтветитьWhat prevents AI and DeepFake from replacing VA?
ОтветитьA great example of someone who has the same voice for everything but is a great voice actor is Bryce Papenbrook
ОтветитьI'm a bit young so i don't know if im meant to do voice acting yet, i don't know if people want a really child like voice or a professional
Ответить
