Ian deserves better sound than this... please fix it if you can
ОтветитьModern Microphone needed.
Paice is the most underappreciated drummer.
Aint gold sparkle kit. It’s a silver sparkle. Just sayin.
ОтветитьThat’s a left handed kit
ОтветитьIan Paice. Still killing it!
ОтветитьI saw Ian I'm Hamilton Ontario years ago. Ian was flawless and a real joy to watch him play. It was a total privilege.
ОтветитьSounds like a bad Zoom call from outer space.
ОтветитьQuem faltaria ser substituído para se compreender que Ian Paice é o próprio Deep Purple..? 😊
ОтветитьHey David! I’m to see finally your video!!!! See you soon! Thanks again for your help to Deep Purple and Ian!!!
ОтветитьMy God, he kicks ass!
ОтветитьA one of a kind drum outfit. For one, Ian is a lefty. I always found that fascinating. The other thing is how Ian has a Buddy Rich/old school sensibility, with the 26" shallow bass drum and no rack tom-tom on the left side of the bass drum. God forbid, it would get in the way of the low mounted ride cymbal. ~ A Buddy Rich thing....Even his finish choice is old school.
When I heard the "made in Japan" album in the early 70's, I could hear Ian's rudimental approach to snare drumming. I knew he was listening to Buddy.
I hope you can fix the audio in future content. The phasing on the voice was hard to listen to.
ОтветитьThomas Lang won life today
ОтветитьSuch a gentleman. His own unique voice in a sea of clones. The fact he still tours and plays like he’s 30 to this day is so inspirational.
ОтветитьI also came to complain about the audio... English is not my mother tongue, this was almost impossible to bear
ОтветитьHe's the main reason I play
ОтветитьYou watch Ian play, and regardless of the "odd" configuration of his drum set, you can't help but notice Ian has great technique. Elbows in close to the body, and it is all about wrist action to get the job done. Which this man has done quite well, and continues to do so. And with a last name like that of course you must play Paiste cymbals! lol Ian Paice Rocks!
ОтветитьMy drumming hero from the age of 14, which was 1970. I hope that I pass away before he does, I shall be in bits if he goes before me!
ОтветитьWhy is Ian so salty with Ludwig? I don’t know the story with what happened between them.
ОтветитьShame on you modern drummer , legend drummer and the sound is shit
ОтветитьBtw, not a pinstripe on the batter side of his kick. Its clearly a powerstroke 3, as you can see by the double stripes and internal muffling ring. 😊
ОтветитьCamera angle from where Ian is standing would be great. Players perspective please! Ian is a legend!
ОтветитьDrumeo need to reach out to Ian...their production values, kit sounds' and setups are second to non...what a waste of an interview for someone so legendary...still worth wading through the crappy sound because...It's Ian Paice !!!!
ОтветитьFabulous drummer and insight into his playing and kit set up. unfortunately, the audio was recorded through a potato
ОтветитьPinstripe on Bass drum ??? Is a Powerstroke 3 😅
ОтветитьWondering if lan still has his Ludwig drum kit from the 70’s
Ответитьno matter how many times i look at one, a left handed kit always gives me headaches lol
ОтветитьPotato quality
ОтветитьThere is sound problems in this. It´s sounds like you are in a pool when you speak... Under water.. Strange sound. Or some digital error...
ОтветитьA humble legend. Saw him over the summer in Saratoga NY. Awesome to watch such a great rhythm section.
ОтветитьWho the hell has his old drum kit? Speak up!
ОтветитьWhat a legend of our art form. So lucky to have seen Ian with Deep Purple. What a brilliant drummer.. Do check out his jazz / big band stuff too!
ОтветитьThis is the best series, Seeing all these legendary drummer and their set ups! Super inspirational
ОтветитьIt's incredible that a channel about music, musicians and music tech can post an interview with such poor audio quality.
ОтветитьThe bass drum head looks more like a 'Powerstroke' clear than a 'Pinstripe' . I'am happy to see Ian in good shape !
ОтветитьMy favorite Ian Paice setup is the 5 piece kit with "double" cymbal stand for the ride and crash on top - like Made in Japan :D Thanks to Ian for many inspirationel years.
ОтветитьMy favorite Deep Purple song is burn. I just loved that song from the first day I heard it, when it came out! Deep Purple was my first hard rock progressive rock band!
ОтветитьThere is just something about the sound of those 2002 cymbals. Warm and rich sounding. I've always played Zildjian, but every time I hear those, I want a set. Mmm, mmm!!
ОтветитьI still like his early Deep Purple size kit the best, one tom over the bass drum and two floor toms.
ОтветитьAn absolute legend. LOVE his playing . Been playing 45 years and grew up in Chicago playing Blues and Jazz.
ОтветитьBeautiful kit. I miss Jon Lord rocking out the Hammonds. Still putting on a great show after all these years.
ОтветитьWe NEED a Carter Beauford kit tour.
ОтветитьI hate lefty drum kit ;/
ОтветитьVery strange sound...both must be taken a balloon filled with Helium before this Interview 😅..anyway Ian paice is one of the greatest no doubt and a kind person too. A purple fan 😊
ОтветитьI never liked the sound of Ian's snare drum, it sounded like can to me live and in the studio. The only time I liked it was on the album "Perfect strangers". Otherwise, he is one of my favorite drummers ever.
ОтветитьWhen I see Ian Pace has a time keeper mounted on his high hat I know I need one even if occasionally!
ОтветитьToo bad the audio is so terrible. Ian is an amazing drummer. He’s only a month or so younger that Bonham was. Imagine if Bonham was still alive, he’d could at be playing today, like Paice. BTW, that looks like a Powerstroke 3 or 4 on the bass drum, not a Pinstripe.
ОтветитьIt's PS3 on the bass drum by the look of it.
ОтветитьPeople always go on about a 14" deep bass drum being better (which I agee with ) and then they have 16" deep floor toms??? Why aren't floor toms 16/10 and 18/12?
Ответить
