I remembered watching this on BBC late at night with everyone already tucked away in bed... When that 997 drifted into the scene, i jumped, screamed and yelled as if my favorite team scored a winning Champions League Final Goal. Back when Top Gear was Top Gear.

I have always loved the R8... But when I go into such a car, I want to feel like it's a special journey, and I want to hear the engine remind me it's an angry lion, not a suited up leopard... That's why I own a 997 c2s with a Dansk exhaust... I doubt I will ever put the radio on, when I drive on my own😎🤣

Nothing really beats a 911 at the end of the day but the original R8 will forever be iconic. Truly two of the most memorable cars here
