How can they keep a 24-year-old radio in production? What killed most radios was the shortage of parts. Can anyone explain this 718 miracle? And it's good that it's still in production, simple and robust radio. should never go out of production, the only remnant of the early digitalization era of ham radios.
ОтветитьWondering if new 718 means also a LMR IC-78 channelised commercial version too??
Good bit of kit 👍
The new IC-718 has a digital filtering system with five selectable IF filter widths without needing to purchase a filter. I put an INRAD CW filter in my older IC-718 (version 62). Seems to me, ICOM just might have made another winner! 73 NG9D
ОтветитьWe really need someone to buy one of these and do a full review with testing. The new FPGA and selectivity should be nice features for an already excellent radio. 73!
ОтветитьRITTY not R T T Y just an fyi.
ОтветитьIt’s been updated for the South American market evidently. With the 7300 currently on sale at $999 USD and the FT-710 Field at $849 USD on sale, I just don’t see the reasoning.
