Delhi government at disharmony with the central government has raised question at the basic grammatical mistake, if at all Bidhan Sabha is needed there. Delhi is a sensitive location, heart of the whole country and it should be vibrant with the same wave-length of the central government. Delhi should be governed direct by the President of India through appointing a Governor.

This amendment is the first step towards reorganization of UP, Haryana and Uttarakhand. After the civic facilities of national capital are brought under the MCD the territory of Delhi can be divided and apportioned among a UT, Haryana, and UP while reorganizing UP into three smaller States. Thus MCD will be directly under the Ministry of Home, UT Division, East Delhi may be merged with a new State to be constituted in West UP, and the area adjacent to Haryana may be merged with that state. That will solve most of the political problems that statehood to Delhi has created. But considering long term interest of India, the political capital of India deserves to be shifted towards Nagpur. Delhi was suitable for the configuration of British Empire that existed in the early years of 20th century which included vast oil assets in Iran and Middle East and a crucial strategic area of Afghanistan. India's present configuration no longer needs Delhi as a political pivot where so called martial races are concentrated. Bangalore is much more critical in power projection of India. So it is but natural that capital should move south.
