ОтветитьThank you for your service
ОтветитьWow 😢. He was born a year before WW1.
ОтветитьBless them all!
ОтветитьMy next door neighbor is 103; He is the last surviving WWII US Army Ranger 1st Division. He was part of the Rangers who first fought in North Africa against the Vichy French. He fought in Sicily and Italy. He was a BAR man. He has memories that he has shared with me that chill you to the bone Many of these memories still haunt him. He is truly a great decorated American Hero. I feel honored to have him as friend.
ОтветитьDamn I love these guys I grew up with them hearing their stories they were all tougher than an old boot they dont make men like this anymore. When I saw he passed away I just teared up I have such profound respect and love for all of them . They truly are the greatest generation .
ОтветитьMy old friend George J. Kambur was a tank commander at the battle of the bulge GOD rest his soul 😇

My grandfather max was a polish tank commander at Normandy under the British. I would have loved to have heard his story.
ОтветитьHello, if you are interested in World War 2 stories, you can visit my channel,
ОтветитьRest well Henry 💝
ОтветитьMy own grandpa was too young to fight in WW2, being fifteen when it ended. His older brother did serve though. He was a Sherman tank driver. He told his family a story once of passing through a village in Germany where the villagers stood in the road to impede their progress. When they radioed it in their superiors told them to keep moving whether the people moved or not. Most of them did but others didn’t or perhaps couldn’t in time. Their screams haunted him for the rest of his life. War is hell.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьWhat a wonderful man, he was truly part of a generation that sacrificed a lot for those that followed. I'm grateful for what Henry and his fellow soldiers did for us all. Whenever I listen to their tales I'm completely in awe of them, they are superheroes in my eyes. Rest in peace Henry & thank you for everything you did during those dark days of humanity.
ОтветитьThank you Henry for you service 😊
ОтветитьI believe he was in the same division and unit as one of our family members. TEC 5 U.S. Army (tank operations). 3rd Army under general pattons command. Unfortunately Willard Eugene “Curly” Keller passed away at the age of 92, Nov 1, 2018 in Fayetteville Tennessee. Seeing these veterans tell their stories is amazing but also heart breaking. I serve my country, and I know i’ll never be such a man that these men were. And when Mr Keller passed, we lost a big part of us. The smile of a 5 foot 5 veteran of WW2 was one of the best smiles I’d ever seen. Occasionally I personally still weep over the loss of him. While for me it was early, for him it was right on time. He was tired. He’d been married for 75 years and lost his wife a few years before he passed away. I still remember all his stories especially the one where he met his wife when he was only 14. I love that man. And i learned more from him than a history book. God rest that mans soul.
ОтветитьIt truly disgusts me how US soldiers were handled. Moved with poor intelligence, poor training, inferior equipment, and used as numbers thrown in the way. A miss or a hit shell made little difference to none to those in charge.
Ответитьwhat he said about getting on board a ship in southampton put it into perspective as i live on the isle of wight and i currently have a view looking to southampton..
ОтветитьHe looks great for 106
ОтветитьSo German snipers are shooting tracer bullets now. Sounds Plausible.
ОтветитьMy dad served in the pilapines he whould never talk about it I learned later on he told a family member he felt like he had walked into the gates of hell he died from alcoholism I was elven I whould give anything to c n here his story's I love you dad thanks for your service
ОтветитьThe Greatest Generation for sure.
ОтветитьHe died today
ОтветитьI'm 23 years old and my grandfather was in WW2 and served as a morse code communicator in a B27. He was flying over Naples Italy when his plane got shot down and he was the only surviving crew member of his plane. He parachuted and was capture by germans and was prisoner of war for 3 years. In that time he was taken care of by Nuns and wrote letters back home to the town I grew up in. He eventually had to do the death march as the war was coming to an end and came back home kissed the ground, hugged all 3 of his brother who also served. Married, had 8 kids raised them catholic and then my father had me.
I still think to this day that my life is due to a parachute, him choosing to march and the nuns who nurtured him.
Thank you sir for your efforts during WWII! There should never have been a war to begin with but you and your fellow military people saved the world!!!
ОтветитьYOU LOLLED at the end when you noted out Hero Passed .... RIP HERO
ОтветитьHow Do I send you a LARGE 💰Donation ???????
ОтветитьTOUCHING
ОтветитьSo glad i got to hear his story so many young people killed because of politicians and their decisions
ОтветитьThis makes me wonder how many men lied about their age and enlisted at 15 or 16
ОтветитьGod bless Henry for his service. Because of him and others like him, we live free.
ОтветитьThankyou for your service. My dad was in the Army Air Corp. He then went into the Air Force. He was Enewolk Atol. Operation Sandstone Joint Task Force 7. Saw 3 atomic tests. Was constantly being fired on. He spent the rest of his life in VA hospitals and homes. I never really got to know him except his military records. I am so proud of him and all the veterans.❤❤❤
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьHe still looks the same low-key
ОтветитьWow. At 106 and He was still talking and thinkjng way better than lots of younger People.
ОтветитьI'm amazed that it took the entire world to stop Germany
ОтветитьI thank this man for his service. As a young man who aspires to join the service, it’s the men like him that inspire me to never forget that freedom is never free, and that it must be defended if necessary.
Rest in peace Sir
~Future U.S Sailor Marcus Delk of KFHS
Its so fucking sad that there sll gone 😢 they were known as the GREATEST GENERATION OF ALL TIME for a reason just imagine the shit stains now a days habing to go fight for the country they hate it sickens me.
ОтветитьI wonder if he knew Walter
ОтветитьI spent a lot of time with my grandparents, both were veterans, they told me stories you wouldn't believe, showed me the war coupons, told me how hard times were, often. My mom wore clothes made from a burlap sack, she was born in 1940. My dad told me they got their first truck on the ranch in 1956. Before that they did it with horses. I'm addicted to this channel. The stories my God.
ОтветитьGod bless him…it’s a shame our country has squandered everything he and his brothers have fought for…RIP Sir thank you for your service
ОтветитьRIP
ОтветитьHe looks great for 106 years old! Incredible man with an incredible story. Thank you so much for your service 🇺🇸
ОтветитьFor the older crowd to not fret well keep carrying fwd your ways of old meant for all of us to enjoy, (ETC)even us future ones, were understanding. we know what we see and hear there's always been olders and youngers
ОтветитьMy grandfather was there on that beach on D-day. Along with thousands of others stimming off boats to an almost certain death. The toughest and greatest generation to ever live. These are the men that saved the world. Sadly, if most of those men were alive to see what this country has become in 2023, I bet they’d be disappointed to say the least.
