One thing about this scene that drives me nuts, and I know they did it on purpose, was they had Viserys use Blackfyre as a walking stick. No warrior would ever use his sword in such a manner. I don't care if it's sheathed or not, that isn't how it's done. This of course was done by the writers and directors to show us that while Viserys is king and Blackfyre is his sword, he isn't a warrior. He's probably never even used Blackfyre for anything, maybe practice or a tourney here or there, but it's not a weapon to him, it's just an accoutrement or peripheral. Contrast that with how Daemon handles Dark Sister. There's a man who knows his business with a sword.

Notice how Viserys was already treating the conqueror's sword like the cane he would soon depend on, further foreshadowing his declining health

The music from the start is so good. “ the rogue prince” in the soundtrack is supposed to be the theme but it’s no way as good as it is here or as long.

I love how Rhaenrya stalks inside the crowd alongside Daemon when he walks to the throne, like a lioness hunting her prey!!! The same could also be said about Otto doing the same thing to Viserys but not in a good way.

this makes daemon powerful actually.

Director's mistake: valyrian steel swords cannot be held by the blade cus it immediately cuts through due to sharpness. The random dude handed viserys the blackfyre by holding its edge....cannot be done.

Same thing with thr tourney in episode 1. Daemon vs criston cole. Dark sister could easily slice the shield and cole armor in one shot..but it didnt. Another director mistake. Attention to detail matters

Kingsguard looks more honourable and with better armour. The Baratheon Kingsguard and Lannister Queensguard armour look unprotected and dull.

I wish my big brother would let me rest my head on his shoulder but he Is too much of an asshole for that but still a good big brother.

I mostly got from this scene that Viserys is scared of Daemon. It practically screamed "Help! My younger, cooler brother is coming to kick my ass!"

God the fact that Viserys looks at Otto for feedback and Otto keeps giving these looks trying to get him to reject his brother’s clear humility and vying for affirmation is so infuriating.

All he wanted was his brothers approval and undying trust

Infront of the king they all looked to the other side and waited for his arrival

This is flawless

He went solo against an army and they think 5 guards would’ve stopped him if he wanted to go at Viserys

Daemon did not hate his brother in fact i think he loves him in the end viserys was the one that always supported and protected him, but his own ambition and ego added to the fact he did not respect how viserys ruled and how he listened to otto over him who was definitely daemons biggest rival and adversery at court which created their divide. Daemons loyalty was and is always to house targaryen and in the end to his brother and king. He always had his own self interests but it never strayed from "uniting the house of the dragon to its former glory" A line that came from daemon himself.

The King's Guard pull their sword on Daemon an average of once a month.

For how scary, skilled, and deadly that Daemon was he always admired, defended and was ready to draw his sword at the sign of anyone posing a threat to his older brother.

You cant tell me that Rhaenyra wasn't wet watching Daemon.

This is what Daemon wanted all along, the recognition and love from his brother. Beautiful scene.

It occurs to me that this was a smart move. Daemon is acting as the conqueror and becoming king of a land only to willingly relinquish power to the king of Westeros sends a message to the people of the stepstones about how powerful the throne truly is.

When Daemon gave a side eye to Otto: "I love my brother more than i hate you"

Daemon should have sent a raven instead to the effect of "I'm now king of the narrow sea after winning the step stones gloriously without your aid. You're welcome in defeating the triarchy and by extension the dornish hold out, a parting gift to you for finally being out of your hair...in westeros, Good Luck!"

Daemon may want the iron throne but his love for his brother rises beyond anything between both the books and the show if you take a deep dive into his character. It what makes him such an icon in the game of thrones lore.

I immediately thought of Ser Barristan Selmy when Daemon said "Add it to the chair"

This whole scene is better than any "dialogue" scene in season 2

I find it funny that ser Otto follows from a distance in a protective position like he can defend the king from deamon.

Their hug at the end and daemons little head tuck into his brother was so adorable, they did love each other despite everything

Gotta appreciate his timing. He waited until everyone was in great hall but before any business was discussed before making his entrance.
