Im heading into my first tattoo in April. It's 6inch by 6inch GOT themed absolutely zero meaning behind it. Upper side of right thigh. Is it dumb to go that big probably, will I ignore everyone saying go smaller probably haha I'm very excited.

When I got my first tat we were all fucked up doing drugs at my house I’m glad he talked me out of getting her name but I wish he’d put the pot leaf a bit further up it’s stayed solid over the last 5 years though and I really do like the tattoo placement is questionable but the tattoo itself is awesome

No words, Glyphs are okay. My first tattoo is an angel that I put on my left shoulder, I didn't think too hard about the placement, but I have come up with a few jokes involving an angel on my shoulder. The inspiration has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with a certain music genre I listen to.

I’m getting my first tattoo tomorrow, and I’m so excited! I’ve been thinking about different ideas and placements for over a year now. I landed on getting a safety pin around a scar I have on my shoulder, so it looks like it’s going through the scar! I found the idea while reading and it stuck! I’m hoping to get more tattoos in the future with more meaningful things, but this really felt like a great starting point for me!
Edit: I got it! It didn’t hurt that bad at all and so far it’s not bad of a healing process. I already have ideas for future tattoos!

Perfect, I have been sitting on most elements of the tattoo for almost 3 years, now I'm touching up the gaps - I will be getting my first tattoo in around 5 months. I have never once thought that I'd regret any of it

My first tattoo was a thigh piece which fills the front of my left thigh. It's a skull with snails, a frog, a bunch of wild plantlife, mushrooms etc. I love it so much. I'm getting my second tattoo on Monday and it will be on my inner fore arm.

Upper part of the outside of my lower leg just under the knee... The worst pain maybe cuz circular design.. since have done calf, upper thigh just above the knee, and outer bicep.. The last one is by far a breeze compare to the first one

The first one I got a smaller circular coat of arms on my back shoulder to hide it from my parents, 24 years later just covered it up with a 9 hour session. Not because I didn't like it but the size and placement didn't look right.

I got two i am planning on getting (black rose and a Geometric Watercolor Sagittarius arrow tattoo) but cause i am being very picky and particular about them, as they do have a significant meaning to me may be i should hold off on them for a while and let it work itself out instead of forcing it. I'm not regretting it, just think i should take a bit more time on those two and go for another tattoo style i like, may be a small Ornamental tattoo over my two black rose and geometric tattoo to start out with.

I'm getting my first tattoo on the 21st! I trust my artist and we've talked about it for a month or two, I've had the idea for around a year. It's a flower to honor my grandfather. The tips are very much appreciated, I've been reading and watching everything I can to prepare for it. I am nervous but I know the pain is temporary :] I'm sure my artist will make it look wonderful, he's tattooed my brother and uncle before and theirs are great.

I have been following your videos for sometime after I booked my tattoo artist and was waiting for my first of many tattoos as part of my arm sleeve to be done. This week i have had 2 sessions and I am very pleased with the results so far, as I had invested a good amount of time deciding the tattooss, looking for the best available black and grey realism tattoo artist here in Dublin, Ireland and then finally getting it done. Just got my first tattoo about 5 days ago: 2 pieces on my right thigh, 11 centimeters length, 7 centimeters width each.

3 hours of work, the last 30 minutes were rough but I got through it, I did put a lot of meaning for my tattoos ( I have lots of tattoo in mind but I wanted to get those first).

I searched for my artist in the city I live in, wanted someone polyvalent, that does lots of personal projects with different styles that I liked because I had the idea but not the design in mind so I gave my tattoo artist lots of trust and she did the designs I loved! Was worth the trust.

Also, on how I handled the pain:
I was either listening to the music playing in the background or focusing on the needles, alternating both through the 3 hours.

My first tattoo was a military compass at 18 on my shoulder about the size of a tennis ball, probably smaller. It’s for the day when I did my military service in my country because it’s compulsory here. But that’s the meaning behind it. I’ve been thinking about getting it for about a year or so

My first tattoo was a half sleeve on my upper right arm. Right now it's a hand holding a semi truck with writing that says keep me safe get me home. When it's all done it will have rays of light shining down on it along with some signs that show where I'm from (which is Illinois).

For me my first and only tattoo so far is my daughters name and 3 roses on my outer forearm from elbow to wrist almost and I love it but the absolute worst part for me is the ITCH !!!!!

Watched so many of your videos & finally got my first tattoo last week after sitting on it for 10 years! It feels so surreal and I’m so happy to finally get started. I’ve only ever had 5 planned so I’m glad I found the perfect artist for my first piece :) and you’re right.. I was planning the placement on my second while getting tatted for my first lol!
