I love MarMaris stance on the Government and his unshakable faith in Christ, however he misrepresents the Oriental Orthodox Christology really badly. To put things straight, we believe that His humanity and Divinity are inseparable. Not that Christ had one nature, but that the two did not separate from each other, not for a single moment, nor a twinkling of an eye. We believe vehemently in the Christology of St Cyril the pillar of faith, who defeated Nestorianisum at the council of Nicea.

The more time I spend talking with Orthodox fathers the more similarities i find with my own protestant beliefs. Orthodox Christian believes are practically the same as most thing I've been taught was a protestant. The issue is communication, specifically different use of the same words.
At the same time, the more I interact with Catholics the more I differences I find. Papal infallibility, as just one example, is insane to me.

God the Son was always both human & divine BEFORE He was incarnated. The Word ,Jesus, was both man & God BEFORE He was born. He was human & divine before He was born. Not just after.
Jesus was one person with 2 natures, human and divine.

The cristian god is either not omnipotent or jesus is not the logos. How could jesus sacrifice himself to himself to forgive the sins that himself had created in the first place?
If the christian god wanted obediant slaves, he would just have created that in the first place, so no sin would have been needed.
You can not have it both ways.

Nestorianism is a heresy just as the Filioque is a heresy. The Holy Orthodox Church will not unite with heresies of the Oriental Church nor the heresies of the western protestant church, the catholics in Rome being chief of the western heretics. If you wish to unite yourself with the Orthodox then lay aside your former delusions, spit upon the devil and become Orthodox by entering the Holy Orthodox Church. This is the only way...the Holy Orthodox Church will not join in unity to heresies already denounced and rejected.

I feel like if the churches were to unite it would be the work of the Catholic Church. They seem to be the only one's reaching out to other churches. Am I wrong? Many of the Orthodox priests I encounter online seem to be very anti-echumincal to the point that they would break away if the Bishop of Constantinople were to unite with the Bishop of Rome.

As a Protestant myself I feel Mar Mari’s love for Jesus. His teachings are biblical based on what I have heard so far. Unfortunately the Russian orthodox and Catholic doctrine and teachings are much different and are so far from gospel, I don’t even see Christianity in it. I know what I am talking about.

It states multiple times in the gospel there’s only one baptism. The schism that happened due to worldly political reasons makes people astray when they seek shelter in the true body of Christ, a apostolic church. Modern Roman Catholics would agree there’s been anti popes and the head of the church is Jesus Christ alone. If you look into the history of the 7th century and what the early franks did to use the Latin patriarch as a political weapon you see how we went from that to the Protestant reformation. Any organization of men can be corrupted by Satan so there shouldn’t be a incentivized singular head of the church when historically before the fall of western rome that’s not how church matters were settled. Now we have stuff like Vatican II coming from the Latin patriarch and immoral ideas being preach like there being no such thing as hell. American Catholics I know don’t follow or agree with their own pope. That’s hardly “Catholic”

If you are Roman Catholic scripture context is read and translated from Latin text, while Orthodox Catholic scripture context is read and translated from Greek text. Even still I do like the Idea of direct translation from Hebrew text...For the Torah of course, however must be knowing much about the Jewish religion, and what everything means.

John is a strange scriptural text it differs from Mark, Luke, Matthew, its John that supposed to says Jesus is divine not that John actually wrote it. The bible is all manmade-up its complete and utter diabolical rubbish. Mar Mari is neither catholic nor orthodox. He’s not even in communion with the Assyrian Church of the East that he either left or was removed from.

I've been getting videos from this channel recommended for a while and tend to agree with the message with a sense of peace while listening, I heard a big and long explanation about this schism a while ago and just like father Emmanuel mentions... it was really stupid and unfortunate, to the point you might find slightly more substance in the schism between Catholics and protestants, sadly with more than a thousand years of separation and the obsession with the world (politics, money and other such things) the drift has gone from a small misunderstanding to a massive drift that stubborn heads make bigger everyday when they wake up and decide their brothers are bad dumb and a lost cause. I am culturally catholic yet spiritually separated and struggling, lately I've been reluctantly stumbling my way into Christianity and there's so many smart and incredible people producing content from multiple angles like this channel that really helps with that, I'm still not there but I hope the churches find a way to unite in christ as I hope I too find a way.

No we don't have the same faith, we don't worship the same Jesus Christ, what he advocates for is literally the Ecumenism. Me as an Eastern Orthodox Christian I kept the doctrine intact from the beginning, the Papists (Catholics as they are wrongly called) added the herecy of Filioque so we are not the same my Jesus Christ does not proceed the Holy Spirit. My Doctrine says says Jesus Christ has two Natures not one so I don't have the same Jesus as the Armenians who are monophysites. I don't believe to the same Jesus Christ the jehovah witness's believe or the protestants or whatever else "Christian" herecy there is out there.

It's very clear in the gospel of Matthew "Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord”, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only one who does the will of my Father in heaven". How are you doing the will of Father God when you belong to a herecy that changed everything in the Doctrine stated in the Ecumenical Counsils? You call Jesus but Jesus who? that's why He says "Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord”". The only way for the Christians to unite again is to return to the True Christianity origins and get baptized again, anything else will lead you to the Big Herecy of all time called Ecunism and finally to the hands of the antichrist with not only all the christian faiths combined but with islam, hindu, buddism all saying we believe to the same god after all.
