Bully is what you are for the way you think. Thats the real problem in the world today.

AUTO ZONE & ADVANCE AUTO PARTS is the same way. Idiots who know nothing about cars. If you find someone who knows about cars it must be your lucky day. Buy a lottery ticket on the way home. Don't use the Fuel Filter. It will have too much back pressure and will help you find alll the weak points on your fuel lines ...... because it will leak or cause leaks !

I just bought their platinum AGM battery ($250+tax). Put it my truck, and the battery was down to 25%. Took it straight back to O Riley's and they would not exchange it. They offered to charge it for me, if I wanted to wait in the store for an hr or more. They even said I could borrow their tools to get it out of my truck and bring it into the store for them. Never again! O'Reilly's will never get another dime from me!

Oreillys Intake gasket for my car. 40.00. Rock Auto 13.67. Same Felpro. I order all my parts from rock Auto. I restore cars. I wont shop at any local store. Prices are 4x or more. Even with shipping added on. Rock is still cheaper.

I have people tell me that I waste money buying nothing but OEM parts AND fluids. Then when I decide to sell a car I’ve had they break their neck to be first in line to buy it because I keep my vehicles in PERFECT mechanical condition and follow my factory maintenance schedule to the letter or exceed it. 2011 Ford Ranger 150k not a drop of a leak of any kind and runs flawlessly.

I know I'm late to the party here, but I needed a moment to digest this completely conflated diatribe.

The primary complaint I've been able to discern is one of customer service. Alas, not all stores/employees are equal. But the jumps to theoretical parts quality and expected results is just conjecture, and quite frankly, ridiculous.

I'm truly sorry that you had such a lousy experience, but sir, your tantrum is unwarranted and woefully uneducated. Your complete lack of awareness is staggering.

In the future, try to separate individuals from entities, and keep the blame in check. Many of us would happily challenge you to work our counter and see how long you last serving customers just like you. Consensus opinion: 1 shift

Do better, for society's sake.

They also over charge. I though about buying a Ingersoll impact they had on display. They wanted $50 more than EVERYONE else. I was like nope. Even on some parts, they are asking DOUBLE the normal going price. I used to work retail for 8 years. That store is so small I could run that place by my self and be fast.

Hay Nathan at least he was honest.. the part well it fit, but they still had older stock made in U.S.A. and other country,s not China..

Worked there for a year. They and the other parts chains don't hire people who know a lot about cars not to just sell product. They don’t hire those people because those people will not work for the peanuts these places pay. If you actually know a lot about cars, you probable already have a better job that pays more. My old store could not even find people who knew nothing but wanted a job. Last time I was in there, the DM was working the counter and the store had started opening later and closing earlier because they had no workers. It was the store manager who had been there 15 years and was making 13 an hour. The DM dude. And someone to run parts to shops, stock, whatever. That job paid 8 an hour. Nobody good will work for that. Nobody smart will stay. I didn’t. And for the slowness, a lot of that IS the computer system. It's slow. There were two entirely different systems in use when I was there. Both were slow. The catalog function was slow. Everything was slow and mice kept chewing up the wires. Pro tip: the stores are absolutely infested with mice. At least mine was. The mice know how to get inside the candy machines. They walk and pee all over that candy. Do not eat the candy. Do not eat anything sold there and if you work there, never eat lunch there. One thing I did like about Oreilly was the lunch break. They gave us an hour. Unpaid. But an hour is time enough to sit down and enjoy a lunch and relax, instead of most places giving 30 minutes unpaid and all you have time to do is eat like a damn animal before the clock runs out. I got very used to that hour lunch break, having enough time to go home if I wanted, or go sit down and eat a burger.

Oreilly Auto Parts is a joke. I spent 5 yrs of my life working for that stupid company. Made it all the way to ISS and even tripled the stores commercial sales. Oreillys fell right in line with the woke bs right after the 2016 election and started hunting for people to fire based on their online social media profiles. A friend of one of my customers who I had on my social media didn’t like the memes I posted and turned me into corporate. I didn’t even use my true name on my social media nor did I have any reference to being employed by oreillys. My manager and my DM knew about my posts because I had them on my social media. The customer complained and they fired me the next day. They also lied out their ass with unemployement office saying my social media had oreillys listed as my employer. I also heard they fired another girl for taking a picture of herself on her social media wearing a t shirt that has some cuss words on it but she had her oreillys green shirt on unbuttoned over the t shirt. I think in five years I got a 1.50 raise as well. That company for a retail company is just not worth working there. They treat you like your nothing but a number and the whole family shit is a joke. Why work at any auto parts store for minimum wage or barely above it, arguing with customers over warranties and pricing, using your brain and knowledge of parts for the same amount of money you can easily make at any other retail corporation. I’d rather run a register at a grocery store making the same or more money and all I gotta do is scan product and bag it. There’s no arguing over warranties or some newbie selling the customer the wrong part 3 times in a row. If your gonna work at that shithole the only way for monetary advancement is to be in the corporate side of the company. They might be based out of Missouri and like to come across like some good ole boy company selling parts to rednecks but their just as woke as Starbucks or any other modern American corporation.

You’re gonna knock the pay rate too? Like come on dude, it’s RETAIL, sure having knowledge about cars would be nice, but the people that do know are working as MECHANICS not retail 😂 it’s a JOB, do you go to McDonald’s and expect a meal from a 5 star restaurant? Some lobster? Some wine too? O’reilly’s provides parts to the DIYers out there and the shops n dealerships. Im glad you buy at Amazon lol you keep doing that 😂

Oreilley's charged me more when I got there than the price they quoted me over the phone. Not once, not twice, but several times. I purchased brake components for a car I was working on; took the car apart, nothing fit.Went back to the store, without the receipt, and after 15 minutes of searching through their computer,,determined that I didn't purchase the parts there.I left, found the receipt, returned to the store with the parts and the receipt, and the counter clown asks for the cars make and model.I said you don't need that.Ju give me my money back. You'll never see me in here again. Oreilley's. ..You Suck!!!

Typical mechanic attitude who thinks he knows and assumes everything . You went to a bad store and think every store shares that same value. Not all auto part store sell junk parts. I don't work at O'Reilly but a compeiter and our store isn't ran this way . Everything that sold is tested before it leaves the store , second we don't tolerate know it all mechanics who want us to automatically know what their project entails . No you couldn't just get on our system in 10 minutes and do returns, inventory adjustments, warranty inquires and all the rest of the junk you think your above. I deal with egotistical customers like you and agree don't shop if you don't like it. We return defective sensors and most electronics it's called a 90 day guarantee. Your shopping at the wrong parts store.

It all depends on what store you visit. I have an AutoZone nearby where all the guys know their stuff. I was debating on whether to buy a transmission through them or get one rebuilt. The guy at the counter called this other out from the back. Turns out the guy he called out used to work in his dad's transmission shop and was extremely knowledgeable about them. He told me the price difference was only a few hundred bucks cheaper to have one rebuilt but it would only come with a 12 month warranty, but the one through AutoZone had a 3 year warranty. He said that's why his dad closed shop. They couldn't compete with that.

I work at an advanced auto parts, I hate selling Chinese parts but most is made there nowadays even the standard motor products stuff and Moog stuff is now made there. It used to be a pep boys so some nos parts that are good quality are still in stock but as it’s depleted it’s replaced by china product. Autozone is the worst with the electronics they sell. Some import direct stuff is actually okay. Advanced auto is trash they started me at $15.50 even though I have experience I’m only there because I didn’t want to stay on unemployment. The manager is a robot and just wants to make sales. Corporate is also trash for the way they want to run things. It’s like their out of touch with reality and how a parts store should run.

First of all that is a In-Line Universal FIlter, it is used on many many older models such as beetles or classic Benz's since the original's are no longer available, that is absolutely a Automotive Fuel Filter. Second of all, you walked into a Aftermarket Auto Parts store and your expecting OEM parts? that's "no workie" my friend. im confused.....you dont sound like a gear head to me, at least a smart one. no one forced you to buy parts from O'reilly's, just order it online, and wait 1-2 weeks to recieve your "correct" parts, OH WAIITTTT you dont want to wait, gotcha.
