Darn, I missed the quartz slabs I really wanted one. That’s what I get for waiting too long. Hope you cut more soon because I can’t buy one fast enough when you do.
ОтветитьDo you process your tailings?
Ответитьrocky mc rockface! no contest :)
ОтветитьHey Jason, or anybody who wants to chime in. I'm just getting started with melting metals. My first furnace is on the way, and I know better than to run it on concrete. I have heard sand can be a good base, but I'm looking for something less messy and perhaps semi-portable. Any other thoughts? Bare dirt seems a bad idea.
ОтветитьSo what your saying is you can't make money hard rock mining and the trinket business is better.
ОтветитьHave you ever gone to Alaska? I lived there for 25yrs and my 2nd wife's Dad had 9 40 acre claims. The claims were mining areas from the late 1800's. He just mined the tailings from the old mines. We had a 1950 Oliver tractor with mechanical dump an 8 foot grizzly and a 20ft sluce. We ran 2 4" pumps. I spent a couple weeks with him and learned alot. We got mostly little nuggets. I took my metal detector and ran it around one afternoon and found a nugget the size of the tip of your baby finger. Great fun unfortunately He died the 3rd year I was married and his daughter divorced 2 years after that. I took 2 buckets home from the slice and pulled out just shy of 1 and half Oz. I'm retired now but have friends up there and they spend the summers mining and do pretty good 👍 Your videos sure bring back the fever 😊
ОтветитьName idea "Baker Boundary"
ОтветитьDoesn't the ore have enough gold in it to pay for it self. You just said how rich it is. Just wondering.
ОтветитьI recently ordered a nice slabbed chunk of ore and a 25lb bag of ore. Found some beautiful color in a couple of the slabs, and I'm excited to crush and pan the rest of the ore. Great stuff!!!
ОтветитьNow I know what both you and Dan Hurd mean by a 'picker'.
ОтветитьGreetings from the BIG SKY. again.
ОтветитьHi Jason,
Got someone asking for someone to process about 300 tons of 10 Oz/T slate currently in Alaska. Getting more details now. Got anything going up there?
"We're going to go with the metric system today cuz it's so much easier......."
Next sentence: "I want to screen it to 1 inch minus........"
Dont know if I should laugh or cry :D Good try and I do agree it's more easie :D
Looks to me like you’re living the life. Congratulations. I absolutely love your videos. Very informative.
ОтветитьThose little rail cutoffs by the way, make great small shop anvils.
ОтветитьNo mask on crushing that rock is begging to get poisoned
ОтветитьHow cool! I could make jewelry on that chunk of rail!! And I'd love a piece of quartz with gold!!
Ответитьmake some small jars of gold with the rail package aswell!
ОтветитьJason - Ore removal....has vacuum ever been tried? Like septic tank strength vacuum. Long flexible hose to the source....just curious. I've seen vacuum trucks suck up gravel easily but not sure how practical it is for that type of application....
ОтветитьI heard somewhere that shaft mining was the MOST EXPENSIVE MINING OPERATION, so DON'T APOLOGIZE, for doing what you're doing to earn a living, everybody is selling something, whether it's their labor, or their food, or items, or tires, EVERYBODY, and you gotta be working very hard at what your doing mining, crushing, mucking, milling wood, carpenter, stabbing, filming, editing, SEVERAL CHANNELS, I Don't think ANYBODY on You Tube is working as hard as you
ОтветитьCascade Gold Lace
ОтветитьHello Jason, a suggestion to loading the bags onto your Pickup, put a chute along side your platform and have removeable tracks that go to it so all you have to do is pick the bags from the cart to the chute
ОтветитьMt baker lighting quarts
ОтветитьIt would be cool to cut up some of the slabs, and slightly polish one side, cut thrm them into tiles for a backsplash for a kitchen. Or somewhere. It would look awesome. Especially with a granite countertop. Heck i may look into doing that eventually.
ОтветитьHave you tried using aqua regia, acid to see if there is any gold too small to see in the ore, after crushing it? Or rven the tailings?
ОтветитьYou should be saving rail for your mine, also check abandon mines. Or advertise for rails
ОтветитьHey bub, just wanted to know if you were up for a lil experiment? Have you ever herd of how the Chinese refine silver with rice?🤔 Wondering how the same steps would work using a furnace instead of coal and fire? Hey maybe something you can do with Brent, he has a history at Cerro Gordo w/Chinese miners! Could make great content and im really interested....
ОтветитьBeautiful! I could make some Navajo Jewelry with those stones. The railroad ties I grind and use as an anvil. Great video as usual & great idea on selling some of those pieces! I'll be taking a look for sure!
ОтветитьRule of discovery. A person finding a new mineral type gets to name it! Don't be bashful. Jasonite. We have a stone here on Vancouver Island called Gordonite, and hey you guessed the guy who named it was named Gordon. It's your chance to be immortal.
ОтветитьNice, that's one lovely ore you got there !!!
From those 4 - I'd go with Mt. Baker Lightning Quartz - Gives credit to the miner and the stone. Those streaks and cracks do look like lightning.
On the other hand, when I look at these grey streaks, Gun Metal keeps lingering in my mind.
But Gun Metal Guartz ? I don't know :D
Pan the Saw Water
ОтветитьWhat's the difference with selling your ore on eBay or refining the gold and selling it to the gold buyer? Some people just gotta complain about somethin.
ОтветитьNo coolant on the saw blade with hardened railtrack😢
ОтветитьThank you, merci beaucoup de ce partage, très belle vidéo Bon résultat 👌👌✨
ОтветитьIf i didnt loose my ability to get around on my own legs , i would drive out there to see it.
I dont know why, its just a goofy impulse
The reason why we go into business is to make money...this cannot happen without buying or selling...Its a bussiness your running...people who are critizing have no idea what it takes and cost to operate a busines...or maybe its jealousy..😮
You go brave and keep doing what your doing❤...
The Quartz is with you
Ответитьif you dont wanna polish you can cover in a clear coat epoxy spray.. as well as it being the lazy way to bring out the colors, if someone buys it to work, its no prob just to grind it away.. it also means less work for a bit more monies perhaps too.. I have done it with some massive thunder egg halves and other dud ones that were still kinda cool but not cool enough to polish.. they all sold after I did that. Just make sure to disclose it to them!
ОтветитьThat stuff would make amazing tiles.. imagine a bathroom tiled in that...idk, that material with the gold could make cool jewelry but idk if the rest of it would be the best jewelry stone.. but building (finishing work stuff)stone like tiles, or the book ends he making it would be amazing
ОтветитьWooo!! I just snagged slab #7 today!! Waited alll week long and set my alarm to be in town to win it! (No phone signal at my place). I'm thrilled and honored to own a piece of your mine and be able to help support your adventures. Thank you so much for the videos, for the goods to buy, and for being so dang handsome haha! Merry Christmas and thanks from Sam in Monroe, WA!
ОтветитьI would like to see a ton of ore run and the 1.92 oz. of gold. Then call it rich bitch quartz..
ОтветитьMy. Lit. Q.
ОтветитьJason i was very disapointed i watch you show to see the crushing and smelting process just to find your selling the muck on ebay would of loved to see how much you would have gotten outta your mine
ОтветитьYou can make book ends
ОтветитьScam
ОтветитьDon't apologize, there will always be haters. I have already bought one 25lb bag of muck..great stuff. I just sent an offer for a second. Have had fun going through, classifying, slicing and viewing the muck. Yes I have found gold. I do lapidary and hope to find some niece pieces for cabs. Everything else I will try and crush, don't have a crusher but will find a way then I will pan it out. I have saved all the dirt that came in the bag as well. Great fun, thanks Jason for giving us a chance at some of your gold.
ОтветитьCascade Iron Stone
ОтветитьI see my cascade clouds made the short list.flattered thanks.
