After install when i login in GUI screen goes black for a moment and goes back to login?

After following your tutorial, when booting into debian i get a black screen with a blinking cursor indicator but nothing happens. I cannot write anything or do anything except turning off the laptop using the physical button.(im using the surface kernel, but i dont know if this has anything to do with it)
