They are times when I couldn’t stand Rachel and how she reacted to Mike never going to Harvard was def one of those moments 😭
ОтветитьThose eyes of hers!!!
ОтветитьWith a diploma that for all I know came from Kinkos 😂😂😂
ОтветитьWA State doesn't require Law School, only passing the Bar exam.
ОтветитьI’m not sure if anyone else linked this. But Mike Ross = Shawn Spencer from Psych. Both geniuses in their own respect. Both with a big secret/lie for their career. They both fall in love with a woman they work with from the get-go. They then a couple seasons down the line let out their lie to their significant other and then they both go through a massive downward spiral. Similar lines too “fraud, no idea who you are” etc…
ОтветитьOne thing I'm surprised isn't brought up is that Mike being a fraud doesn't just mean he lied to Rachel or that he's "better" than Rachel. Rachel knows if he's a fraud, then all of those cases he's worked - that they've worked together - could get thrown out. Everything he ever told her could be part of his attempts to cover up his fraud. She doesn't yet know Harvey was the one who signed off on all this, she thinks Mike's the sole collaborator
ОтветитьThe tension between them was so thick. It was insane.
ОтветитьAbsolutely phenomenal scene. Great acting.
Edit: also very telling he said Trevor first. Really shows how close they were
What's the season and episode?
ОтветитьWell my doomsday clock is still 40 minutes to midnight
ОтветитьFunny how Mike can blow the LSAT out the water any time. He has to actively hold back on it when taking it for other people. He would've excelled at Harvard, indicated further by how well he does at the firm. The hard truth is that Rachel is just salty and jealous and to state that he hasn't earned his place is just false. Was it legitimate through official channels? No. But was it earned? The work speaks for itself.
ОтветитьHim telling her makes it clear that while Mike is learning much from Harvey, he's shaping out to not be Harvey. Harvey would let the woman go if it meant jeopardizing his career. Mike gets torn up. Perhaps that's because he's still green to all this.
ОтветитьI'm not sure how telling her I never went to Harvard gets him into her pants. 🤔
ОтветитьProbably my favourite scene from the series. Patrick killed it with the dialogue delivery and expression. When he says "You don't understand what i have been through...." Perfect delivery. I mean look at his eyes when he says everything from that moment onwards. Imagine you are a smart person and since you were 11 years old no one has ever understood your heart, you lose everything you love. And then this.... Bravo Patrick J Adams.
ОтветитьThe scene at the end felt like Mike saying - can I drill u please 😂
ОтветитьRe-watching these scenes years later just affirms my first impressions of Rachel's character, it was horrible. She was so entitled and demanded a level of respect, yet required such humility from others while also glorifying those that brazenly waved their power/skill around. Had huge swings in her attitude and moral boundaries while constantly breaking them herself in the form of keeping secrets/manipulation/blackmail/etc.
The character had no growth over the entire series unlike everyone else. She was the same daddy issue ridden, overconfident, hypocrite from the start of the show all the way through to the end. Only thing that was remotely redeeming was that she truly did love Mike but it was such a toxic relationship I wish he had found someone else, like the girl he flirted with at the beginning while working as a messenger.
The resemblance to prince Harrry's wife is remarkable!
ОтветитьHa I watch this and I start to realise that Rachel's cheating later on was justifiable. Because mike was not 100% committed or so he seemed hence her subconscious didn't 100: trust him hence the vulnerability to another man who is so much in love with her and is 100% commited
