Ответитьi did every thing you said and the upper leg bone whold not stay there the leg was not conected to eney thing the foot was connecting to the phalm so i did not do legs

ОтветитьWhen I connect the bones to the bottom one and make it the parent, all of the bones get rotated and when I move the "main" bone they just flip and rotate wildly. Why?

Edit- Turns out the right thumb (Which is labeled with R) is connected with the left IK
Between your last video and this one I've used the two tutes to make a (somewhat looking) goblin and have him be able to move (and now I know the basics to rig his piggy companion) and again your tutes are the best because you don't skip over steps that you assume others should know. I've gotten to the point if i'm looking for a tutorial on something I come straight to your channel and look for it first. They've been a headache saver.
Side question, when you said to undo moving the arm and stuff you said about hitting alt g to undo grab and alt r to undo rotate, would hitting ctrl z/undo accomplish the same thing, or is this a better way than that?
I love your pace and how you repeat things rather than going slow. Helps me learn. Subbed
Ответитьhi, i have two issues and i was wondering if you could help. i followed everything along, and almost everything works. the only issue is that the leg armatures glitch and jank around when moving them. also, when trying to symmeterize, nothing happens. i have also noticed my model is facing the x axis and yours is facing the y, if this could be a reason for the issue, thanks.

ОтветитьGiven the octagonal presentation of the armature, and some nomenclature (head, tail), I thought the two ends of bones were somehow different. Now I'm wondering if they are, in fact, the same.
Ответить"The existing Armature modifier is already using a different armature object" is what the metarig (rigify) object that I just inserted (just inserted) is telling me. . .I just inserted it because the last rig I inserted was parented and the parenting would absolutely not clear (????). Do you know how I might force blender to work . . .Have been searching websites for a while.
Ответитьthank you so much for all of the tutorials you make. i have this process for learning blender where i watch quick 5-10 minute tutorials on a subject to get an idea of what its like, and then i watch one of your videos on the subject to refine the knowledge i learned and actually memorize the information. i wouldnt be anywhere near where i am right now without your help.

ОтветитьI love the way Ryan explains stuff in his tutorials. he does not fail to explain a single detail. Definitely a mandatory like and subscribe for anyone who stumbles on any of his videos..i actually prefer him to blender guru... he's gotten too greedy and gone full commercial, so everything he does feels like a sales pitch now, i like old blender guru. But Ryan here, he does it out of actual goodness , you can tell, that is why if i have an extra penny i try to support him rather than other more "main stream" blender guys. I just hope he doesnt end up like a total sales pitch for "his new book" or "his new class" or the tools he uses and all that stuff. Ryan, if you keep it Vanilla brother, the newbies like myself will always have someone to go to to start,try not to change that style man. it is perfect.

ОтветитьWhen I did the automatic weights, it caused my mesh to become thinner. The model I'm working with is supposed to be wearing a robe, but the automatic weights compressed the robe into just being two legs. Is there any way to fix this or prevent it from happening?

ОтветитьHello Ryan, I had another question. I was using this guide to rig a model that has 5 fingers, and so as I expected it animates her fingers a bit strangely. I know in the guide you said I can add the other fingers at the point of making the main finger bones, but how do I do so in a way that works? I keep trying different ways and it won't work.
