100 tips and tricks to help you get better at Hunt Showdown [Hunt Educational Gameplay #12]

tons of knowledge for a new player. playing duos with my friend and our biggest issues so far was a solo player reviving 4 times in a row, killing us at the 4th time... anything we can do about it?
PS: we threw lanterns on the body (3 times) but no idea if it had an effect.

Tip number 95 is useful in a sketchy scenario, but you heal less, cause of the mentioned things in tip nimber 90.
So if you want to heal more after a bleeding stop it, let the health bar fully recover, then use medkit

I know I won’t remember all 100 tips, but when I’m in a pinch and remember something I’ll be thanking you!

Still think the sound of a headshot is so satisfying

Watching this as a refresher after a refund passion for this beautiful game still super useful can't imagine learning all this on my own maybe after a 200 hours of meticulous playing

Edits as of 1.13 (june 2023):
3. Throwing knives now 1 taps a horse regardless if you hit it in the head or on the body.
10. Headshot and body shots still have different sounds, but they are not the same as the ones used in the video.
21. Silencers don't have muzzle flash UNLESS you play with incendiary OR High Velocity ammo
26. 3 heavy attacks with the dusters are enough, no need for heavy+heavy+light+heavy and you can stagger the immolators with each hit (unless you know *achieved by Cry Engine*)
36. Medkits that are used once, are also halfway closed
41. Not an edit, but a trick by me - while there's no hit-scan in Hunt, you can divide your gun's muzzle velocity by 10 (example: Martini Henry's muzzle velocity is 400 m/s :10 = 40 meters) that's the approximate distance that you can avoid leading your shots as the bullet is basically a hit-scan.
46. Same goes for throwing axes* (there probably weren't throwing axes back then idk)
50. Extraction timer is now 30 seconds instead of 20 seconds
63. Not an edit, just adding ADSing to the list of things everyone can hear
65. There are more special ammunition added to the game by now, but there are few more things that do not penetrate: Bow arrows, small XBow bolts ( poison bolts' cloud and choke bolts' cloud can spread through walls ), fire ammo, poison ammo, pennyshot (shotguns), melee weapons (obviously)
73. Nothing to edit here, just that it's not related to luck, but where the boss is and what clues have you picked up so far, there are videos on YT on that topic as it's very extensive.
80. Already edited above on 26.- Dusters only need 3 heavy attacks now, not 3 heavy + 1 light.
83. Not an edit, but I want to emphasize this. There ALWAYS could be someone camping you at the extraction.
88. Banish restores all of your health. It both heals you and restores all of your burned bars.
92. They can be picked up indefinitely if their teammate/s have a bounty on them. This will cost them (the bounty carriers ) health, but they can just heal up.
100. You can use slash attacks to clear concertina as well ( axes (including throwing axes), knives (including throwing knives without assailant trait), light melee attack with a shovel, higher caliber bullets also work (long ammo), FMJ ammo)

I might do a follow-up edit on the other 2 beginner guide videos.

Still downloading hunt as of posting this, but why is burning someone after downing them toxic? To me its more efficient than waiting to burn them

You can shoot through trees, but you can not shoot through sheet metal unless you have long-range rounds...... 🤣 👍 👌

I’m a new player and I don’t think I’ve ever had a match where I’ve been killed by a player and my body has not been immediately set ablaze 😂

watching this cuz it came up and I like to learn a few tips and tricks I didnt realize (confirmation on leech XP,meat heads having diff weapons that i somehow didnt realize,and the water devils that I gotta check if its still a thing)

and its amazing how much has change, wasnt aware hand xbow wasnt a thing for crows, and hearing the old sneaky door sounds. It's def gone some ways.

50 hours into the game, this actually explained a lot I didn't catch. Eg the lighting on map for the bounty carrier.. explains a lot :)

tip 95: dont stop bleeding, use medkit is situational because if u stop bleed and let the bar heal up u save 1 medkit

Obviously the video is three years old but it bears an update. A fully burned out player can be revived if you have a bounty. Also, Concertina Wire is a lot harder to clear now. Dynamite (not Frag Bombs) and the Heavy Knife are arguably the best. Bomb Lance also cuts through very easily. I do not believe Throwing Knives still work.

If your solo I suggest use the carwell uppercut with spectre it's a solid loadout and needs no perks

New player here. The amount of details and differences in this game is extraordinary. Different reload animations, ammo types, enemy variety, enemy behaviour due to damage and location. It’s wild. What a cool game. Thanks for this guide!

#68.5 Crouching everywhere doesn't make you inaudible or invisible.
This is the number one reason why my friend dies all the time.
He pretty much never runs when close to enemies.
Its not like he can't kill, its just that he always dies from being too slow.

I had no clue that u'r a german lad. Reinhardt would say "German precission engineering."

Not sure why people hate the whole burning bodies thing. Sure it sucks but it seems more pragmatic to do it in order to say flush out their teammates, or keep them out of the fight.

You explaining the different hit boxes on a hunter was some top shelf asmr.
