My girlfriend (Photography professor who shots large format Polaroid) told me not to buy this camera because it was terrible. I don’t listen and bought one. She was right! Recently I found this video. I should have listened to her! What a waste of $$$.
ОтветитьOld timey quality
ОтветитьWhat about black & white film?
ОтветитьWhere did you get the colored picture frames?
ОтветитьHey I’m from Seattle too lol!
ОтветитьLove love love your style! :)
Ответитьhaha! I actually like the dark and moody lighting in each photo
Ответитьpolaroid ist einfach legendär
ОтветитьI just got a gen 2 for my first born child. I wanted to immortalize the moments yet I am disappointed of the colors. Seems like some cheap old model. I really thought it would be very colourful. Did I get something wrong ?
ОтветитьSaved me like $200. Thanks
Maybe I'll look into a refurbished older one.
Love the video. How did u Digitalize the pictures? :)
ОтветитьI have one of these, and I don’t think I’ve gotten a good photo from it. And yeah, I’m an experienced photographer.
ОтветитьWelcome to the 80s. These are the same photos we got back in the 80s when instant cameras were so popular. Yes… those same crappy photos… And We Loved them!!!
ОтветитьI think that people need to go get one of the vintage type cameras that have been refurbished spend a little more, also polaroid needs to bring cameras back like they had
ОтветитьJust bought one, used it and I was so disappointed with it. Thought maybe I had bad model, nope you confirmed they just aren’t good. Back to Walmart it goes.
ОтветитьI wish I'd seen this video before buying It....
ОтветитьThanks for this review. It confirms what evrybody say Here in France and Europe. This Polaroid camera version is a total failure. Keep your Polaroid Step 2, it’s a much better device.
I notice the price of the gen2 plus is already dropping to €109 in France instead of €149 probably because the sells are not good.
I don't know why they call the new Polaroid camera a gen 2 camera as it is more like a gen 4 the first gen were the 400 series that took black and white photos then you had the 500 series that were the first to take colour photos that had proprietary films batteries and flash bars then came the 600 series that was around for years the first to have a built in flash and each film had its own
Built-in battery and now you have the gen 2 which is a smaller version of the 600 series that has a separate rechargeable battery but you must remember that Polaroid cameras were never ment for proper photography they were designed to take indoor photos at party's Which is why Polaroid's biggest problem is waste of shot when taking outdoor photos because getting the light balance right was always guess work and you always guessed wrong they are expensive cameras to run especially when you add the cost of the wasted shots and the films for the newer models have 4 shots less when buying a twin pack of films all because they wanted to make the film cartridges smaller for the smaller 2 gen camera's
Thanks, was thinking about getting this one. Now I know 😇
ОтветитьI am looking for an instant camera as a birthday present for my husband. Which one would you recommend me?
ОтветитьI just bought this on whatnot an now u making regret but I’ve never owned one so I guess it’s fine for the first buy 😊
ОтветитьVery helpfull, thanks for video, hı from turkey
ОтветитьHas there been any updates on the last year?
Ответитьwhich is the best polaroid camera when it comes to image quality?
ОтветитьIt's like a luxury pen vs Regular pen.
ОтветитьAt this point I feel like Polaroid is purposely making their cameras over expose for an aesthetic they prefer
ОтветитьI just got a Sun660 auto focus
Was looking at getting a modern Polaroid to compare with.
my name is earl reference
ОтветитьI know you're saying that the photos have bad quality, but the photos in this video remind me of the photos my friends & family took in the 90s & early, early, early 00s 😅. I'm sure many of us in the comments section have/had relatives that had a photo book full of Polaroid photos. Yes, they weren't the best quality, but they captured the moment & the feeling amazingly ❤.
ОтветитьI like the not perfect photos. Brings back memories from the 90's.
ОтветитьThank you for this ❤ I just purchased this camera before the birth of our second (and last) child and I'm completely lost 😂 I honestly had no clue what went into Polaroid cameras/film. I need a step by step instructional video on how to use it!
ОтветитьAmazing review! Do you have a review on the Polaroid Now Gen 2? (Not the plus)
ОтветитьThese photos look gorgeous! I dont think people understand what the point of a polaroid camera is. The pictures are supposed to look this way.
ОтветитьI have one and I noticed the same issues as you. I feel like it mostly assumes its too dark. I tried shooting always with the flash on even if its outside in day and its a landscape and that seemed to help. For indoors I actually turn the lights down and use mainly the flash and it helps with it being over exposed. The only time I turned the flash off was a landscape at lower light or if something was too shiny and close to the camera. In other words I feel like it was optimized for low light interior shots and almost nothing else. I did try blank and white film in it and it did a lot better, it may be that, that type of film is just more forgiving.
ОтветитьI just bought the Now + last night and saw your video this morning😫
ОтветитьSo I'm not familiar with any of the Polariod camera nowadays, but very familiar with digital and film cameras. Does a Polariod 600 I-type camera exist nowadays that takes good photos? If so, what would that be? Which Polariod camera takes the best photos using I-type film?
ОтветитьWhat is your favorite Polaroid camera?
ОтветитьFujifilm wide or Polaroid gen 2?which has better quality pictures?
ОтветитьI'm new to instant cameras and would love to purchase one (super happy to find your channel)! I'd been looking at Fuji—what makes you like Polaroid over other brands, such as them? Is it because of the original charm versus camera capability or both?
Thanks so much for your help!
L (and Andy)
Yeah, my grandma got it for me as a early Christmas present. It really does suck.
ОтветитьWhat’s the song you pull up in??
ОтветитьYou know you’re supposed to submerge the photo in darkness for 5 min after taking the photo…right?????
ОтветитьThe worst cámara ever ! Don’t buy it!!!!!! I just return mine ! I love pictures and unfortunately I got 2 mini Polaroids cámara to my daughters And did not do research and I was so disappointed! I still have Polaroids pictures from the 1990 and don’t understand what’s wrong with Polaroid ! Please don’t spend money Because I bough like 4 packs of pictures and that I can’t return!
ОтветитьIt's a Polaroid gen 2. The pics are supposed to look like that. Late 70's technology. Loved these as a kid. It's fun.
Ответитьdo you think it would help to just set it to manual and go -1 on the exposure for photos you take? I feel like that would make all the exposure problems go away. I get it though, it should be doing it right out of the box.
Ответитьif you are getting a polaroid expecting to get a high quality photo then what the point of the polaroid. the instant print? polaroids imo are meant to be this way. its about aesthetics and character. if i wanted a high quality image i would use my phone or basically any other digital camera
ОтветитьLove the Don Pedro’s photo, I realized you’re PNW when I saw that
ОтветитьIt could depend on the film you use
I just bought one for automotive pictures and I’m still awaiting how it might do In our frigid climate up here in the mountains
