One option is to use the sub-tasks feature. In other words, basically treating an event as a task with all the sub-tasks that represent all the work that needs to be done.
Each of those sub-tasks and the main task will then have an own due date and they all can be shown on just one calendar view. To show both tasks and sub-tasks you choose the "Flattened view" in the Sub-task settings of your calendar view.
E.g. in the example Marie is using, the planning meeting is a sub-task of the event, booking the location is a sub-task, forms-submission cut-off date is a sub-task etc.
I think for project-like work like organising an event, this approach will actually help structure and complete the work.
Hi Marie is there a way to show all the due dates of one event in a single calendar at the same time? cheers from Indonesia
ОтветитьIs it possible to show ALL the events in one view? So I can see all the events on a certain day (e.g., all meetings, forms due, etc on that day). Thanks!
ОтветитьHere is no any multi-events. You just created several calendars ordered by different dates. Wrong title of the video, wrong info....
ОтветитьHow I reassign a group of events one week ahead?
ОтветитьThe is the best. Total Sub. Thank you for these videos!
Ответитьit will mean a lot if you help me out on this
Ответитьhey I have a problem and that is I wanna add all of the dates that relate to a single page in my database in one single calendar view and not how to switch between different "calender by'' and different calendar view
ОтветитьDear Marie, you put so much valueable and important content and data in Notion. Is there a backup? What to do in a worst case scenario, if for whatever reason, notion suffers from a breakdown?
ОтветитьHi Marie , thank you very much for all your videos. Could you help with Master Calendar , is there a possibility to create a Main calendar where i can see events from different Databases (from business table , from birthdays table etc..). Because i cant find out how to use Rollup dates from different databases in one Main calendar view..If you dont find it hard maybe you could write an answer or make a short video. With love from Russia Marie.
ОтветитьI FOUND A WAY TO SHOW ALL IN ONE VIEW! You don't enter the dates in the project or event, but you create a calendar database and relate to the project or event database. Now you can add as many dates to one project or event as you wound to. I will share screenshots of this in the Notion made simple Facebook group.
ОтветитьThank you Marie, very inspiring. I can see the use of this regarding let's say, upcoming shows where there would be various due dates for rehearsals, sheet printing, tour meetings, yes! Will investigate.
ОтветитьDatabase entries have a "last edited" property. Is there a way to check for "last edited but only the property I care about"? Like "last time this checkbox was changed"?
ОтветитьCurious if you are avoiding splitting the deadlines out into multiple tasks, and “tagging” the entire event together relationally? You could still filter off of “forms”, but you’d have the flexibility to show any dated data for a particular event on one calendar?
ОтветитьThanks for the video! On this, you can’t show a calendar view that shows all the group by dates correct? So you would have to cycle through multiple calendars to see all actions you may have due.
