ОтветитьGreat advice , simple but so true ! Elon Musk , Steph Curry etc . , do they not always master and continue to work on the fundamentals ? Thanks again !!
ОтветитьShort answer : use Google
ОтветитьD-Generation X much at the beginning, Travis? Great advice, guys!
ОтветитьScott taught me Angular
ОтветитьLevelUpTips
ОтветитьI learnt a lot from the tutorials u did in the past, hope u start em again soon :)
ОтветитьDude, That was an awesome advice!
ОтветитьMan, It still don't helps me. Cause I know the foundation, and way more. Studying deep the JS and Math. I watched like 80% of leveluptuts videos, but still, any kind of technology that I LEARNED from vids and tuts AND PRACTICED still looks impossibly weird and hard as "starting at level 9". I know they are not ez but they still look like level 9. I dunno is that make any sense to you, but the "foundation advice" don't really a thing that helps me
ОтветитьHow does it work? I don't know. Why does it work? I don't know. But I do know that it works.
ОтветитьI subscribed to both of your channels on separate occasions. It's really cool seeing that you are now actively collaborating as the quality is definitely going to increase.
ОтветитьGreat response - Thanks! I think I've got enough on the HTML and CSS, so I just started this weekend on the JavaScript. Nice to know I've started at the beginning as you two recommend. The comment on puzzle borders was great, sort of made something click in my head, a usable visual. Bit of a shock to be watching as usual and hear my name. Yhanks for considering the question. You guys rock.
ОтветитьCut and paste from Patreon and still didn't fix the typo.
ОтветитьTravis, what back-end language/framework would you recommend beginner to learn in 2016? Is Rails outdated?
ОтветитьIt is really awesome that you guys talk about things that everybody goes through in the learning process.
I gotta thank you guys (devtips) for putting good quality content on the net.
Ive been learning design for a while and your channel does an amazing job!
Thanks a lot.
Very interesting, thanks!
ОтветитьHaven't watched a video in a while but Looks like your getting more sleep, trav. Great insight, thanks!
ОтветитьHey Travis! Thanks for your videos. Greetings from Venezuela. I have a question. Once in a video, you said that you don't use css frameworks because you prefer do it yourself. Do you have any recommendation about this? I'd started using bootstrap but I almost customized everything so, probably I didn't need it so much. Nevertheless, I'd decided using it because I'm afraid to forgot to code an important thing. What do you do regularly?
ОтветитьI like the framing suggestion. Also worth saying you could apply two of code testing's practices.
1) do the absolute minimum to make it pass for work
i.e. for example hard code things you don't know yet, or if you wanted an animated menu, first make the menu and animate it later.
2) Don't be afraid to fail, as pushing for the fail will teach you something.
i.e. If you focus on one issue to improve then try ideas to improve that one thing, and when you hit a fail you will have learned a boundary to your issue, and can scale back or change direction. Fail fast, fail often, then clean it up and do it again with what you learned.
Hey Travis! First off I wanna say I'm really digger this new series and I hope you keep it up! Secondly, I am new to Javascript and jQuery. I absolutely love learning more about it but I was wondering what your thoughts are on jQuery libraries. I am not a huge fan of using CSS frameworks, mostly because they take up more time to learn than if I coded it myself but I am finding using jQuery libraries helpful. I'm more afraid of hindering myself from learning more with jQuery by using its many different libraries. What are your thoughts?
