How to Hard Reset or Factory Reset the Microsoft Surface Pro 4

Hi to everyone,
I'm going to report here a strange situation that happened to me and hope that someone would be able to explain what might have happened.

I have a Surface Pro4 since about 5 years and since the last 2 ,5 years it started to show problems with its battery autonomy.

It discharged very rapidly although I had it previously charged at 100%.
Sometimes it lasted only 15 minutes without having to plug it for charging it again.

Since I use it now and then, I started to use it always plugged to the socket wall.

Now comes the strange part ...

Last week I use it twice and in one occasion I connected the charging cable to the tablet, as always, turned it on but I forgot to plug it to the socket wall and when I realised it, it had passed 45 minutes and it didn't had shutdxown.

I immediatly checked the charging duration of battery and it showed me there was still 60% of battery charge left before it would shutdown.

Can anyone please explain what might have been initially the problem that caused it to discharged so quickly and why did it regained now again the capacity of using it without having to constantly plug it to the socket wall?

This isn't a hard reset. This is just a software restore/reset.

I despise my SP. passionately hate it. Brilliant video mate though. But nothing works. As usual I ask it to do something and it thinks of some reason to say NO. Does anyone have a sledgehammer I can borrow? Could I shoot it?

and if you cant get into windows? how do you do the reset?

is it possible to restore it without logging in?

I did this and now nothing works on the desktop. I can't get even get into the control panel. On the desktop, when I right click and hit personalize, it says, "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel". Can someone please help me, thanks.

This is not a Hard Reset??

Once I go into recovery and I click get started nothing happens

When I got into settings, and click on update and security, it doesn't open. Afterwards windows runs into a problem and is restarting on me continuously.

I chose the boot from USB...... the bootable usb option never works and yes I have windows pe bootable USB and tested and works... restore feature is totally busted. So after I choose to boot to usb and hold down the volume down side it still refuses to boot from USB.

I have Bitlocker on the surface. If I Format it will it remove it ?
