Free Music Notation and Sheet Music Software

I am looking for recommendations on a software program where I can rewrite some of my “piano/vocal/guitar” songs into easy piano songs that I can play. I have a large book full of empty staff paper that I can write it all out using the notes I can play, but I’d rather use a computer program. What’s in this video looks like what I’m looking for, but I want to be sure.

Im a keyboard musician who late in life wants to put some peotry to music. I need keyboard music notation software with optional virtual keyboard input. Donr want a heavy rental charge! Thanks

does musescore let you write using the grand staff for piano solo music?

Does any of these program let you record yourself playing a midi keyboard but also write down the notes as you play?

Maestro is crescendo but on phone,tablet with any name
Crescendo is maestro but on PC,notebook only for windows
Musecore is only for windows 10 and faster than finale notepad

There's some good stuff out there for free. I was an avid musician in a classical sense but growing up only had a keyboard to get a sense of how my music sounded. Then in 2001 I eagerly bought Print Music and could hear my music in full for the first time. Then I got the newer version a couple of years later because you could, at last, save your music into mp3 files.

I can't extract bass notes from MIDI songs on Musescore. Do I need some other program to get those notes and then input those notes on Musescore to get the bass written notes? If anyone can help will really appreciate it

the information for musescore is out of date (the website at least): musescore now makes you pay to upload and download scores which makes it very hard to use when you're broke.

Crescendo is totally not free, even if you buy a licensed version every time you download an updated version it'll just ask for more money.It's such a scam, trust me. I've used it to create tons of stuff and now I can't even open them without buying the new version.

Musescore is great, but it's not ideal for making guitar scores or tabs.. For example if you want to write down a guitar solo, you can't go higher than the 19th fret!

Ugh. Musescore. I get how it works great for other people but on my pc the pallet is empty which means I can't use 90% of the features musescore offers. Can someone please help?

you can get crescendo on microsoft store if that makes it easier for windows users.

MuseScore, you are able to add note name automatic for learning,, why all programs do not have that is anyone guess, unless you have a mac than i would use logic pro.
