there's a black cursor visible at the bottom left corner throughout the whole performance.
I wish people stopped clapping between parts! I know it is meaningless to hope for more educated audiences now, unfortunately.
ОтветитьC'est quoi ce public grossier? Les musiciens sont d'une patience exemplaire devant tant d'ignorance
ОтветитьThe clapping between movements ruined it
Ответитьexcellent
ОтветитьI like the comments better than the video. Everyone trying to out-do each other with their analyses of the piece. 😂😂
ОтветитьWhen this glorious masterpiece is performed so exquisitely, nothing else exists.
ОтветитьI find the principal cellist to have the most exquisitely beautiful vibrato and tone quality while he performs the main theme of the first movement in particular. He’s exceptional. Not to take away from the beautiful performances of the 2 violinists as well as the violist and the other cellist. Now, on to trying to get the music out of my head long enough to reply to my family members during normal conversations! Wish me luck there!
ОтветитьSchubert composed this within weeks of his demise from syphilis, which supposedly deteriorates the brain.
ОтветитьUna maravilla
ОтветитьThank you ❤
ОтветитьSuch a near perfect piece, both in composition and in performance! And it’s More meaningful knowing it was one of Schubert’s last!
ОтветитьThis, the music of despair? No! Very seldom is the divine expressed so openly. In the pizzicato I hear tears of gratitude falling on the love letter--I mean the score--as Schubert grasps the Great Love awaiting him shortly. Only at the end of life, perhaps, could he speak so honestly.
ОтветитьWhat is the meaning or thoughts of the composer? Could they write this music without a story, in their minds? Or am i just wanting a story because today's music has lyrics? 🤔
ОтветитьI just love this piece very very much !
ОтветитьDas Beste, was je geschrieben wurde.
ОтветитьWow beautiful playing beautiful piece of music. Discovering it for the first time ever
ОтветитьI'm sure this show remains an inside joke for these chamber musicians for the rest of their lives
ОтветитьWhat a RUDE audience...
ОтветитьIf Mozart was god speaking to man and Beethoven man speaking to god, then Schubert is the elevator music to heaven.

Sublime.
ОтветитьI think instrumental music is beautiful, but I don't seem to "get" it like the enthusiasts. I'm not sure how to "get" it better.
Ответить2nd movement is when all that ever was, and all that ever will be, come together in the here and now to produce a moment of perfect peace, and acceptance, and a profound knowledge of one's oneness with the cosmos. This performance is superb.
The cello pizzicato throughout the 2nd movement will make or break a performance. It needs to be deliberate, never rushed. In this recording it is performed superbly!
My God.
ОтветитьWow, they kept a cool face when the audience surprisingly started applauding after the Allegro! Lovely performance of this fantastic work by Schubert!
ОтветитьWhat a strange idea to I vote such a brilliant cellist Alexander Buzlov to play mostly pizzicato?!
ОтветитьSublime performance. Almost invidious to single anyone out but the first violin was exquisite.
ОтветитьWho else looked this up because they’re reading letters to a young artist ?
Ответитьlove it
Ответитьgreat performance but the crowd is really confused.
ОтветитьBitte
ОтветитьIain McGilchrist's favorite...
ОтветитьMy mother is just entering the campus at Blue Hill — attending the workshop of Kneisel Hall🎻. She’ll be the Violist for their performance of Schubert’s glorious Quintet❤️
