Wonderful advice Anastasia....but I'm Canadian....much too shy to haggle!
ОтветитьDoes Greece shut down on the middle of the day or close early like some other European countries?
ОтветитьThank you for all these tips!!
ОтветитьWater is excellent in most places in the main land. Athens has amazing water quality. Drink bottle water in the islands (except Crete- most of it is fine). Bottled water is cheap in Greece.
Ответить1.Don’t drink Tap water 💧
2. Don’t try to figure out the Residential address.
3. Don’t be afraid to talk to locals. (Most people are friendly )
4.Don’t expect the first price given to you. Negotiate for lower price. Car rentals / housing
5. Must get an assigned seat on a ferry ⛴️ boat.
6. Ask you server to recommend local dishes.
7. Don’t try to Rush the pace ! Accept the slower pace
( slow down )
8. Don’t flush toilet 🚽 paper. The pipes are small than USA or other countries.
❤😊🎉
ОтветитьHi Awesome.... Information is just fabulous and Great....Thank You For Your Good Guidance Buddy👆🏻👍🏻🌹💙❤💚💛
ОтветитьVery informative thank you. What about ice in drinks? Is this safe or made from tap water? Thanks :)
ОтветитьHello Anastasya. I am an Australian of Greek descent on both sides of my family, and I have a question for you. You say that in Greece, a driver might stop in the middle of the street or road for whatever reason, and he won't care about the vehicles he is holding up. That is very inconsiderate and irresponsible to me. What if an ambulance tries to get a critically sick or injured person to a hospital?
ОтветитьDid you move away from Italy?
ОтветитьI’ve been going to Greece for over 30 years and I agree with EVERYTHING she said. When it comes to negotiating, you can often get a better price if you pay cash for rentals etc. Also, don’t waste your money in Santorini, it’s completely over run with cruise ships and twice as expensive
ОтветитьPerfect to know.I don’t drink tap water here either.
ОтветитьI’m coming to Greece 🇬🇷 in April!!!
ОтветитьLearn to wash your valuable ass on the bidet so you will not be needing so much toliet paper. Also it's much better for your health.
ОтветитьYou are amazing and totally get the foreigners mind set. Very different and handy to prepare us. Thanks again
ОтветитьDo most bathrooms have a bidet? Seems like that would solve the toilet paper issue.
Ответитьvery helpful, indeed, thanks
Ответить👍♥️
ОтветитьReally about the tap water? I drank the tap water in Athens and Lefkada, lived in Greece for several months ... well, I'm still alive :)!
ОтветитьI am so glad I have watched this video. As an American, I don't know how to slow down. I would need a patient guide to help me to slow down.😁
ОтветитьI flushed toilet paper down the toilet, and it blew up! Lots of disgusting 'backwash' all over my hairy kolo! UGH!
ОтветитьExplain briefly. It
Not like elastic
so my question is, how did the inhabittants of the islands survive for so many millenias without having bottled water ?
ОтветитьSo called mineral water that has been heated up in a plastic bottle for who knows how long! No no. Plus what with the plastic bottle? Just bring your own metallic bottle and refill it at your hotel.
ОтветитьVery good advice!
ОтветитьPrices are fixed. If you want to haggle, go to Turkey.
ОтветитьTap water in Greece is greate. Athens has the best water in Europe and that happens to the 90% of the mainland. The landscape is the reason for that.
But the islands is another story and that make sense of course, because of the lack of natural resources.
I think you live in my village in Paros (my summer house). I saw Piso Livadi and Marpissa. Hope you are having a good time!
Ответитьthis is so helpful, thank you! :)
ОтветитьJust found your channel looking to come to Greece from the UK
ОтветитьGreat video Anastasiya, I do agree with almost everything you are saying! My only objection is the "negotiating prices" thing. Many prices in Greece are fixed and not negotionable. People will get offended if someone will try to negotiate prices which are fixed to everybody and not negotionable (like the tickets of the buses and the ferries, the restaurant prices - stated on the Menu - etc.). There is room though to negotiate prices in places like tourists' shops, when buying from street vendors e.t.c. It always depends on the overall "context".
ОтветитьThanks excellent video.
Ответить...dont accept the first price ??? sounds like they are crooks, huh? ...how can this be "fun"?
ОтветитьFantastic video thank you !!!
ОтветитьBring sanitary bags for the toilets to put toilet paper in the bins 🗑
Ответитьhey, i'm planning to visit one of the Islands in May. so far your videos have been very informative, so I have a question for you!
I want to visit, but can't decide which Island would be best for me. I really want to enjoy sandy beaches, and also would like to visit an Island where there are parties and night life. I prefer not to visit Crete because it's too mainstream and too large, and I just can't get cheap tickets for Rhodes. What Islands would you recommend?
You can drink tap water everywhere except for the islands (not all of them). You can cook with tap water there though.
ОтветитьTap water quality in mainland Greece is impecable. The problem is in the islands.
ОтветитьIt is a bad idea to drink tap water when traveling internationally anyway.
ОтветитьI came across your videos recently since I'll be traveling to Greece next month. These tips are very helpful. I'm still kinda weary about the toilet paper situation lol.
ОтветитьHow can I reach Zakynthos?
Share your itinerary
Yes the water part! Some parts of greece have a few of the first types of pipes, which aint that good for health.
ОтветитьI learned so many things. thank you for sharing ❤️
ОтветитьI enjoy watching your enthusiasm about sharing info. :) Do you happen to know if they have bigger pipes on the mainland of Greece or is it just the islands where you should not flush toilet paper?
ОтветитьWhen you arrive in Greece 1st you must forget the time! Enjoy the slowness
Ответитьthe only think i hate about grecce is the toilet lol
ОтветитьWhat's the best site to rent apartments in Athens, Greece?
ОтветитьYou’re adorable❤️
ОтветитьThank you so much!
ОтветитьThank you so much 🥰 this video was so informative. And yes, your vibe definitely resonates with me. Well done!
