Try this one: often my always Jewish son is not often given Aliya due to his mother being a Jew of color… not even convert stigma but color stigma. I always teach him… it is not for man to judge… when Moschiach comes…
To think… my great grandfather x4 founded US Sephardic Judaism and is quite ‚famous‘ in fact… I learned later in life.
Judaism without racism, that's called Islam.
Ответитьhi I'm Anil from India🇮🇳, how to convert in jewish religion?
Ответить❤ wow you waited for 14 years!
ОтветитьShe talks too fast !!!
ОтветитьIN OTHER WORDS BLACK PEOPLE ADOPTED THE CHRISTIAN FAITH. A BLONDE HAIRED BLUE EYED JESUS WITH LONG HAIR. THEN THEY THINK THAT WHITE PEOPLE OF THE SAME CHRISTIAN BELEIF WILL ACCEPT THEM. THUS YOU HAVE BLACK AND WHITE CHURCHES. They adopted the religion of their slave master. YOU ARE ASIAN ,,, YOU CHOOSE JUDAISM INSTEAD OF BUDDHIST. IF YOU TO ANSWER WHY? If your answer to yourself is true then damn the ones who do not accept you. THERE IS A BAPTIST CHURCH IN TEXAS THAT HAS THE ISRAEL FLAGS, STAR OF DAVID IN FRONT OF THEIR CHRISTIAN CHURCH. THEY HAVE CONVINCED THEMSELVES TO BE FOR ISRAEL BECAUSE THEIR JESUS IS A JEW. AGAIN WHEN YOU TURN ON THE NEWS HAVE YOU SEEN ANY PICTURE OF JESUS OR IN THE MOVIES THAT LOOK LIKE THE PEOPLE IN ISRAEL. REALLY CANT TELL A JEW FROM A PALESTINIAN…. IN OTHER WORDS PEOPLE ARE FUCKED UP.
ОтветитьI DECIDED BECAUSE IN MY OPINION IT IS THE TRUE RELIGION / FAITH . I LEARNED MY LESSON ABOUT DOING THINGS AND THEN WANTING TO BE ACCEPTED……..
Ответитьso goreous
ОтветитьI am very dedicated and have been for years. There are some that feel a Jew is only a true Jew by birthright. They are few and far in between. Bracha Pauul
Ответитьyou dont look jewish at all. Even Mizrahis look jewish
ОтветитьAre you a... JEW? Are you a descendant of Abraham??? Which tribe are you???
UHH, yeah, Jews and Orientals are both semites but orientals are not the JEWS.
Old Testament does not work like this. What kind of Judaism is this? When the Book talks about the Jews or Israel, it is regarding to something physical*, *literal people. Jews are Jews from their physical birth. However, how can a Korean woman become a "JEW"??? Is this trans-racial stuff that liberals are pushing recently? lol
If a "red-headed stepchild" is to feel like part of the family, it is up to the leaders of that family to make that happen - not the child's responsibility. In turn, if the parents of the family are focused on "bloodline", their actions - not words - will be apparent to the child. If the 'parent' of the faith is the Rabbinate in Israel, that is where the followers of the faith will take their lead.
בבלע רשע צדיק ממנו ;
As someone going through conversion. It is hard to understand especially as a black person what a born Jew really is. There are millions African Jews and with the cross Atlantic slave trade we will never know. There is a rabbi that have a lecture at Duke University on how the hebrews were largely African people. Then on my mothers side, before moving to the Caribbean they were Jews from Germany that escaped. They changed their religion and last name to cover their identity. So it’s really hard as a black person and also as someone with Jewish ancestry to know who has birthrights and who does not.
ОтветитьI wonder if this is dependent on denomination? I know humanistic, reconstructionist, renewal judiasm tend to be more open to others
Ответить24 It happened along the way, at a lodging place, that Adonai met him and sought to kill him! 25 But Zipporah took a flint, cut off the foreskin of her son, and threw it at his feet, saying, “You are surely a bridegroom of blood to me.” 26 She said, “A bridegroom of blood” because of the circumcision. Then He let him alone.
Moses wife was a convert and they are the ancestors of many who view themselves as fully Jewish by descent.
I am focused on your Pug :) Congratulations on your conversion. Welcome to the tribe!
ОтветитьAnyone who would not wish to marry you for the simple reason that you are a convert is not someone you want to marry in the first place and it says a lot more about them than it does about you.
ОтветитьThank you for covering this topic. I've been wanting to convert for a few years now, but this has been one of the biggest obstacles I have faced. I worry that no matter how hard I study or observe, it would never be enough to be considered "fully" jewish. Your words have been nothing be reaffirming and comforting.
ОтветитьIt doesn't matter if the converts are accepted or not! If you converted you are not in HaShem's service and that's all it matters!!! Don't convert to Judaism to make friends or to seek acceptance, convert to be in the service of HaShem and don't make these kinds of videos to discourage people.. It's not nice
ОтветитьAre you single? I come threw Jewish lineage!
Ответитьso simple: if god specifically chose jews, you cannot conveniently become chosen by trying to join that original group. if i choose certain folks for my party, others cannot assume i chose them by emulating the folks i chose. i didnt choose you. live with it! jesus
Ответитьyes - accepted into the lower species of jew
ОтветитьBut you say you are a Jewish convert by choice and yet you don't follow it, for example you don't cover your hair, so what was the point of converting to Jusaism if you didn't want to actually follow it? It is a different story when a person is born into Judaism, and do not feel like following all of the rules, but why actually convert to a faith you are not willing to actually follow in the first place? No wonder they are asking you if it is because of a jewish boyfriend or some other reaon that you converted.
ОтветитьListen Korea ( thats what Im gonna call ya as I don't know your true name) ( now mehora whatever you may falsely think you are), For 1)-You don't look Jewish, 2) You have no self respect- to carry on with a nonsensical archaic lie of a religion despite intense humiliation and unacceptability by its adherents- (3)you will always be seen as an adopted pet, not the real one.....if i have three sons, 2 my own and 1 adopted, ofcourse I will love my own sons more than the adopted one....
ОтветитьExcerpts from various encounters I've had while converting to Judaism:
Positive:
***"When are you joining the synagogue?" (and various ensuing friendships)
***"You're more Jewish than some Jews I know."
***Compliments on my singing the liturgy (I'm no cantor, but I suppose Ashrei isn't the easiest to sing).
Negative:
***"Is that (your Star of David) real gold?"
***"I can tell by your sandals you don't have a lot of money."
~~~~~~completely being ignored by members of the synagogue though I'd made efforts to interact~~~~~~(This never ended)
***"Converts can never really be Jews"--a prominent Jew, giving a speech at the bimah, immediately after meeting me. That was nice.
***Other Jews assuming I'm not educated based on my current employment and treating me as if I'm beneath them.
Negative/Positive/Just plain weird:
Not being invited to celebrate Pesach by any of the Jews I'd interacted with for 6 months, yet a complete stranger and his family invited me.
IF you are already financially successful, OR you're in college and on the trajectory to become financially successful, you will have an easier time converting as far as the outward aspects. The inner aspects...yeah...you've got to really want it and be willing to be rejected by some of your own people solely on the basis of your lack of Jewishness at birth. Ironic to say the least.
Hi!! I watched one of ur videos and didn't think ur a convert! I'm Jewish and happy u r one too! Sending love from Israel 🇮🇱💖
ОтветитьIt is valid, many modern Orthodox Jews believe converts were born with Jewish souls of those who has gone astray and have found themselves in Judaism once again
ОтветитьWow you experienced this as an orthodox convert......im converting to reform so looks like ill be in for a ride
ОтветитьYour eyes alone tells me your a fake Jew or WANNA-BE-JEW
ОтветитьShe just wants to FEEEEEL white, LOL :D
ОтветитьBi***tch your not Jew. How about all black people convert to Korean, let them all come to Korea and marry Korean women to have BLACK KOREAN BABIES. See how that flies with the ultra-racist KOREAN culture.
ОтветитьConversion is 100% allowed in Judaism. That's why there's a process for it! 😊
Every convert must be accepted as Jewish, once they convert. It is as if their soul was at Har Sinai, getting the Torah with all other Jews. This is our belief 💙
So if anyone doesn't accept you, they are likely just not nice, or not informed i guess. I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't accept a legit cover...we must.
this is excellent
ОтветитьIt means Jews is a generation of same DNA which are chosen while convert are accepting Judaism as a religion but not belong to chosen people .
Judaism as a religion is for everyone but Jews is a race .
Like different tribes ?.
😊
To set the record straight...I'm a baal teshuva and we recieve the same attitude like you do. Which is really understandable. I see what kind of secular behaviour I bring with me and how it might influence frum children who are exposed to me for instance. So I lovingly accept my second class citisenship so to speak. And because of my personal experience I try my best to give my convert friends the best feeling and acceptance. Good luck sister!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your story. I think you might want to clarify when you’re speaking about clothing that the black clothing is worn by Orthodox men. As far as Orthodox women go, “modern” Orthodox women typically dress quite fashionably.
Other than Orthodox Jews though, There’s no particular style of dress for Jews.
You’re right that a lot of Jews think that non-Jewish women in particular are converting so that they can marry a Jewish man. The Jewish population is only 1- 2% of the entire United States so Jewish women tend to think that they’re losing opportunities each time a non-Jewish woman marries a Jewish man. I think it’s probably somewhat the same with many black women who know that they have a limited number from which to choose and so when they see a white woman marrying a black man that might bother them on some level.
It took a lot of courage for you to convert I’m sure, and I wish you all the best. ❤
The Torah tells us to accept converts Ruth the moabite daughter of Ruth . Moshiac will come from her
ОтветитьAs a born Jew I am deeply disgusted and ashamed by ANY such notions or attitude against Converts. Since the founding of our Nation and the giving of the Torah God has made it very clear that this type of thing is against His teachings, Converts are a really important part of Judaism and what it represents and sets out to achieve - humanity united under God and His Torah IS the mission statement, and the main function of the Nation. This is what we were chosen for, it is our duty on earth. Your kind, beautiful and you belong with us. Blessings from Jerusalem. Subscribed.
ОтветитьThe ultimate conversion is to come in faith the the Jewish Messiah. The New is the whole point of the Old.
Ответитьpeople are superficial including the orthodox community. if one is wealthy, your accepted. Isrealis women don't like converts, yup!, they look down on converts, especially if one is more attractive than they are. I know a Chinese dr that converted in less than 6 months, $$$$$. he was told dr do not have to observe shabbat. so true, imagine the dark skin converts.....your not that. converts leave because people are nasty!!
ОтветитьMy mother was Jewish (Passed away when I was young) and I was in foster care from 5 to 21 and I'm 24. I wasn't raised Jewish because of that and well... it calls ti me, and has since around 12 when I got exposed to it more. I'm not sure if I need to convert or not, because I've never been converted to another religion.
ОтветитьI converted 36 years ago and am reminded of it constantly by natural Jews.
My children don’t experience the same.
If it's in your heart, then that's what's you are
ОтветитьI'm an Orthodox Jew, I hope all the converts are guided in positive path.✡🕎🇮🇱
ОтветитьAloha from Hawaii!
Adonai spoke to me in Hebrew in a dream January 2020.
It’s been difficult to share my journey
And I’ve tried to explain to my Christian Husband why I listen to Hebrew music, Messianic Jewish Rabbis in synagogues online. I’m learning Hebrew and spoke to a few Jewish people with only positive things to say & share in this journey.
I’ve been talking to the the Christian communities I’m connected to about the Jewish culture & the powerful relationship with Adonai we all have
Deep respect; reverence to you all from Oahu, Hawaii.
I think the main reason why Jewish men (especially secular Jewish men) end up in relationships with Asian women is because they often meet in school or on the job. Jews and Asians both tend to live in upper income communities, so they grow up together, and then they both also tend to go to good universities and enter into high paying professions later in life. Secular Jews and Asians share very similar demographics these days, so they tend to spend a lot of time together. When two groups of people spend a lot of time together, things will eventually happen :).
ОтветитьHave you studied the Torah and the Tanakh often? As a Christian, I study the Old and New Testament books as one. I find the Old Testament has so much useful wisdom and beneficial history as well as so much prophecy. Many of the prophecies found in the Old Testament were about the coming Messiah and many were fulfilled when Jesus came to the Jewish people 2000 years ago, and His fulfilled prophecies as well as His teachings, miracles, and interactions with the Jewish religious leaders, are the foundation of the New Testament. The main reason most Jewish people at that time rejected their Messiah, and still reject Him today, is Because Jesus did not fulfill all prophecies, as He is coming back to take back His planet from our enemy: Satan. The first time, Jesus came as the Lamb of God to take away all sins from all who believe and receive Christ Jesus and His sacrifice, the second time Jesus comes, He will be the Lion from the tribe of Judah, a conquering King. This is why most Jewish people reject their messiah, they were waiting for someone like King David to deliver them and free them from their bondage and their oppression. Some Jews today are praying and studying the whole Bible and the Holy Spirit is revealing the Truth throughout the Bible and the New Testament and the Gospels of Christ Jesus.
Peace and blessings to you, in the wonderful name of Christ Jesus, I pray: Amen, Hallelujah, Peace, and Maranatha.
This is what scares me about taking the plunge. So far my Reform temple has been quietly welcoming but I’m autistic, so I’m already terrified of people, and the stories I hear are just awful. And yet I’ve never felt more at home than when I read and learn about Judaism.
