The mother was a complete incompetent idiot. If that was my daughter, I’d be on the ground crying hysterically. She cared to be her daughters friend not her mother. And the dumb speech by the judge was worthless. How much jail time did this murderer get? This movie just pissed me off. Sarah was a young immature girl who had nobody but her best friend who cared for her more than her idiot mother who only cared about herself. F** stupid movie.

I'm a survivor of emotional, mental, and verbal abuse. I really feel for the women who are enduring physical abuse. It really breaks my heart whenever they make excuses instead of getting out.

When Mira Sorvino talked about the men and women who died for our country I lost it. I'm a combat veteran who lost comrades during the war as well.

I'll be going against the grain here and saying I don't like this version of the movie.

They modernized it way too much. I didn't know in the 90's they had smart phones and Google, Google being created after Amy Carnevale was murdered. She also posted a picture on what seemed to be a version of Instagram.

Since when did Rob take her phone, text her guy friend, throw her phone at her chest and break it? Causing the phone to bruise her chest. When did he ever buy her a new smart phone?

I think they should've stood with the actual case and not made the movie so cutesy and bright. The first movie never had a sex scene. Or what made to look like one. It never centered around one anyway.

I know this movie is supposed to be modernized and I know it's not 1996 anymore but this murder happened in 1991. No phones were involved, no nice house in the suburbs, no personal gym in the basement, etc. I expected it to be modernized but not completely changed. This doesn't remind me of the Amy Carnevale murder case, not at all. If you would have showed me this movie without telling me before hand I would have no clue.

That Jacqueline girl really pissed me off she was literally robs abusing little helper Think about it she’s the one who started the whole thing with the texting at the lake house, she was the reason why Sarah changed her mind on reporting Rob, and i’m not really sure why Sarah let her intimidate her so much when it came to getting in the car with him. I honestly think she should’ve got charged too with something because she helped Rob manipulate the situation
