ОтветитьJust wondering, why are other teachers using diff fingers for this? The first vid I found, the teacher was saying use thumb, 1, 2, on the bottom three, leaving the top free. Is this just another way, preference? (I choose your way 😊)
ОтветитьI really like the color of your ukulele
ОтветитьLooking at her it's like...LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT 😍 ......
ОтветитьI love discovering these gems ✌🏼❤️
ОтветитьCan you suggest if using finger picks will work with this style of playing?
ОтветитьThank you. I will practice as much as i can.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьYes, and how to play a melody in fingerstyle?
ОтветитьFinally I know why one music school in Russia calls "PIMA" :)
ОтветитьWhere is the new pattern mam?
ОтветитьHello Mrs. Bernadette, I am so glad I spent so much time in fb yesterday and stumble in your page... my daughter just finished the complete book 1 and 2 complete Alfred's book by herself as we can't afford to spend money in every instrument she's learning... I've been searching on where to go next after the Beginner book 1 and 2 that she won't be stuck and continue to learn on her own... your page is very knowledgeable... I love to learn but I am not musically gifted than my daughter so I am having a hard time catching up myself in this beginner book glad I found you! lol you really have the talent to teach coz your so precise and you make it easy for us to follow! Thank you and we will be your new student :)
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
ОтветитьI have the same Uke!
ОтветитьThanks so much! Placing my fingers more in line with the strings made all the difference. Before, I was trying to place my fingers perpendicular to the strings as my ukulele teacher was saying to do, but it just didn’t feel right, was fatiguing, and frustrating. I feel I finally made a break through with your terrific technique. Thank you!
ОтветитьI love u
ОтветитьThank you Ms B. Beautiful blue uke! :-)
ОтветитьThanks again for sharing your knowledge. I prefer positioning my fingertips so that they pluck more perpendicular to the string--with the palm of the hand more above the strings and the wrist a little bent. It seems more efficient than having the fingers more inline with string, as you do in the video. But, I also don't have long fingernails as you do, so it may make more of a difference to me.
ОтветитьWhat is the use of capo?
ОтветитьIs my imagination, or you always use Spanish words? Saludos
ОтветитьI don't understand. You speak spanish too?
ОтветитьThanks for the vid
ОтветитьPlease oh please what ukulele is that it's gorgeous!
ОтветитьMy husband and I just watched the first three of this series on our tv so we could practice together...way better than Netflix! Thanks for making us smile while we learn!
ОтветитьHi Bernadette! Thank you for this tutorial. I started learning uke just a month ago and don't know why strumming for me is being the most difficult thing between all, I'm doing fine in the chords progression but the strumming, even the basic one, is not happening! I just can't process the strumming if I need to keep thinking up down, down up etc... listening and trying to reproduce the sound seems easier. I am practising now finger style and I am on this first lesson yours and I am progressing more than with strumming patterns. But one thing I notice is that making this sequence starting from the bottom (A, E, C, G) is much easier for me than doing the correct one, ( G, C, E ,A ), I discovered it by accident when my fingers just took life on their own and did it backwards! Hahaha! Isn't that odd? I noticed that many times I write things backwards and I was wondering if that is just me or some other people have the same. Have you had any students with the same problem? Any tip that can help me with strumming? It just seems impossible for me to process the patterns if I need to think up down so I am trying to find another way to learn. Thank you for your help!
ОтветитьThat will be very usefull, thank you!
ОтветитьWhat would I do if I want to do a fingerpicking style with a melody, as in playing the part that would be sung or playing a "classical" piece like you would on a nylon string guitar?
ОтветитьManaged that. Looking forward to seeing the next tutorial and I promise to practice until then. Also it is good to seeing you looking so happy. Ken
ОтветитьVery cool!!! I wish i had time to learn this!!
ОтветитьYaay!! Fingerstyle Uke :) Really appreciate you putting in the time to type the detailed lesson plan in the description box. That's why you are the best :)
Ответить:) great video!!
ОтветитьThank you Ms B. Very good lesson for my level. Not intimidating at all.
