Samsung Galaxy S20 YouTube Videos Stuck in 1080p / 1440p FIX

How do I upload a 4k video on my phone to my computer? It's recorded att 4k but uploads as 1080p

I came back to say it didn't work for my redmi note 12

im using note 20 ultra...select 2316 x 1080...still can choose 1440p60 at your video...but my problem is SOME video i cannot choose 2160p...OTHER video like 4k trailer i can choose 2160p...dont know what to do

1440p is not 4k 2160p is 4k my Samsung galaxy tab s6 can play full 4k but my Samsung galaxy s20 ultra can only play 2k

I dont even have a screen resolution option :(

This happened with my S8 too! 4k video was only 1080p, but on my PC as well! Boy, I was angry! With Huawei phones you won't have this problem.

S20 don't have changing screen resolution in the menu and has lower resolution than S6. The phone is real trash and and screen quality its terrible. S6 edge has better screen.

Nice video I usually just force stop the app after the resolution change that also works

It should be 2160p tho really shouldn't it iphone is 2160p and my previous sony xperia 1 was 2160p xperia 1ii wasn't 2160p it was 1440p same as my samung s20

Honestly I think the s20 is the worst galaxy I've owned. I've had every S series from 3-9. I skipped 10 but for a flagship phone its terrible imo

Weird becuz the A70 and A71 have 2160p

You don't need to restart, just clear the cache of the app and reopen it, that's all.

Did you try turning it off and on again?

i just got s20 5 days ago and my utube video is buffering sooo bad but doesnt happen to any device at home infact my s6 edge doesn't buffer so why its happening to my s20 and what can i do to fix the problem??? i cleared the cache but it didn't worked

Guys there is another faster way if you want!

You can go to device manager then press on ram then press on optimize it will bring back the 1440 p without a restart . Also Don't forget to put WQHD+ resolution.
