RC Mentor of the North! I love my VEKTA.5. I bought the kit version just before xmas. I've had servo problems too. These things just seem to eat them. I've got HITEC D840WP's servos now. They have 50kg of torque with 2S. Holding up well. I bash mine pretty hard. That's what they are for.
Always watch wide eyed at the RCSparks ranch! I gotta get some Trepadors now!

You do not need to remove the engine easier done from the rear. Why aren't you using the rocket stand, with the swivel it is a doddle doing it on the stand. Love the Trepador tyres mine are winging their way to me as I type this.

You need the proper pinion wrench, and sap over to the Vertigo clutch pinion shaft. I have built mine and now have to pull it down to swap the Stage to the Mega Torque set which they did not have in stock when I ordered the tyres, heating and quenching your clutch bell could cause premature failure. You might want to go over to the Hitec D845WP servo and FFRC V2 steering servo mounts, the Trepadores are going to need a powerful servo.

Aaron, that Beast is so freaking COOL. This is obviously my first look. I'm going to be dreaming about it now!! I'm sure it's well over $1000, but after getting bored with Nitro Buggies in 1/10 and 1/8th scales, that thing just excited me!! I live in hilly Desert. I've got SO much space for something like that. Honestly, the only thing not making me want to rob a Bank, is that it doesn't have Reverse. Like the T-MAXX and that HPI clone that's been out almost as long. I realize that those run between .25 and .33 Nitro Motors, but you'd THINK that someone would figure out how to make a reliable Reverse for 1/4 - 1/5th Scale Gas, right??

Hey bud not sure if you will see this. Wondering if the vekta is worth it? Is it pretty durable? I’m just a basher no track use. There isn’t even a track around me.

Had a Baja 5t decided to get a dbxl. Nothing but issues with the dbxl so thinking of getting the vekta pro kit.

I have a pretty much brand new OBR motor that would end up in it. Just don’t want to drop the money on it and be sitting here constantly repairing like I am on the dbxl.

Which futaba radio is that. Im wanting to get into futaba radios from spektrum. Which would you recommend. I have a vekta 5 set up like yours. I really like the precision of fast radio systems. Im coming from 1/8 scale so you know...

Why did you not clean and loctite the the loose bearing on the transmission housing, very important?
The clutch bell housing has blind holes 180 degrees apart so you can insert a punch to hold the clutch bell while you unscrew the pinion shaft.
This information came for the assembly manual.
