Will the eSIM effect my physical sim
ОтветитьThanks for the review. I used your code and saved $3.10 on a 20-day card for Türkiye. Much appreciated! I have used Holafly in Türkiye in the past and was very happy with the results. 🇹🇷
Ответитьwhat settings do you need to change in your iphone to avoid being charged international fees with your provider?
ОтветитьDoes your phone need to stay on airplane mode or take your country SIM card out? Just to be sure you’re not roaming.
Ответитьyou can't share the mobile data making it useless
ОтветитьOnly americans can moan about expensive roaming (scare mongers you to buy certain plans). In Europe we dont have such thing, we only have INCLUDED roaming, like home. No charges (most of the plans).
ОтветитьWhat about internet on your laptop? Can you connect to hotspot from your phone (with holafly)? Or what would you recommend?
Ответитьhow do you scan the QR code with your own phone
ОтветитьYou get free roaming across the EU. So whatever country you first arrive in, go get a 30 day sim. You can then travel to another country & use your sim package without any additional charge. If you are still in Europe post 30 days, simply buy another local sim in your destination & repeat. All cheaper than an e-sim.
ОтветитьYeah, but no hotspot, nice not to have this is 2023.
ОтветитьHi Guys I have a samsung s22 Can you tell me if this app would work with this phone? Is there a cheaper alterinative as im going for 30 days and its going to cost me about 60 dollars thanks
ОтветитьDoes it support creating a hotspot?
Also, besides having a data plan, does it offer a physical / virtual number to be able to make calls and receive sms?
Thank you for all the information and for the discount code!
ОтветитьMANY THANKS...This beats buying a SIM card, installing, keeping track of your other SIM card, etc.
ОтветитьThis is just a ads commercial…. I don’t trust
ОтветитьIs this Esim good in Japan?
Ответитьnot directly related to your video but why (especalliy in USA) everyone uses eSIM? we are a family of 4 and I just need a prepaid SIM card with 20-50 GB (or unlimited) usage in my mobile WiFi router. Further more if you find an over, they charge you per line (i guess per device)... redicoulous... In my opinion it doens't matter if one or five devices use the 50 GB data volume. If I have none I have to buy more...
ОтветитьI got the esim for turkey but can't use it to hotspot
Ответитьif the iPhone 14 Pro max e-sim is blocked on a certain operator, for example, At &T, then other operators will work, for example, Visible or Verizon?
ОтветитьThank you. I just used it and your code.
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention you cant share your hotspot any other device you own
ОтветитьI have a question would they make support for hotspot if so when will they release it?
ОтветитьYou can buy 10 gb of transfer for about 10 euros so why
ОтветитьDoes it work when you travel to US from Canada
ОтветитьI think they stopped selling unlimited. Seems to be 5 or 10 gb which means two or three long Uber rides and a phone call and it’s over
ОтветитьDid have hotspot for sharing wifi
ОтветитьI heard Gomoworld is better and less expensive
ОтветитьI understand it is unlimited data plan. How about voice calling ? How did you manage to call local numbers in each of the countries as it is data only ?
ОтветитьThanks, just used your discount code. :)
ОтветитьThank you so much.. i used your discount code.
ОтветитьFor an eSIM, can I buy it and activate it before arriving or do I have to activate it once I get to the destination?
Ответитьthey changed their business model and there are some problems with data only eSIMs: before, they sent you a physical SIM and you just swapped it out and that SIM also gave you a local phone number which, for me at least, was essential. I travel from Spain the NYC and LA and to get around I use Lyft and Uber with the phone number provided with my SIM card. These ride services require a US phone number so this eSIM leaves me in the lurch for getting around. Also, while WhatsApp is ubiquitous around the world, the US lags behind and so many people still us SMS, making it also hard to communicate with friends and family with a data only SIM. For a work-around I paid for a one month US Skype number that I'm hoping will work in conjunction with my data plan for Lyft and Uber. I have relied on Holafly and been a happy customer for years... not thrilled with this change.
ОтветитьGreat! Thank you :)
ОтветитьDoes the Europe option work in every European country? Even ones that aren’t part of the European Union? And if you are in multiple countries in a day I.e Slovakia in the morning then Czech Republic afternoon, do you need to sign up separately or do you treat Europe as though you are always in the u.s.a for example?
ОтветитьIf you want to make phone calls will that just happen on my normal sim?
ОтветитьYOUR PHONE MUST BE UNLOCKED! This is an often overlooked detail. If your phone is on an installment plan and your carrier has it locked, don't waste your money on this service!
ОтветитьWhat's a good deal for unlimited data in France? We don't have eSim capable phones. Thanks
ОтветитьCan't even hotspot with Holafly - crazy!
ОтветитьIs there anything special that needs to be done to your phone before buying this eSim card? Does it need to be unlocked? Would it work on an iPhone 14?
ОтветитьUsed this for 3 weeks while in Italy, Switzerland and Germany. It works, but not well. It would be reasonably fast first up in the morning but for only 20 minutes or so. Every time I wanted to use google maps I would be standing in a street for ages waiting for it to load. Forget about wanting to see restaurant reviews and photos as it would take forever. Using safari was the same, all on a new iPhone. You are far better off buying an actual SIM card than holafly. You can get by with it but seeing you need internet for just about everything with travel these days I would have preferred a large international roaming bill over the time wasted and frustration using this. Good video and others might have different experiences but it’s important people are aware of it’s issues.
Ответитьhi @mathersonthemap what phone did you use? I do not see my phone on the list of devices :(
Ответитьwould have been nice to include data speedtests. "worked very well" is open to interpretation.
A digital nomad would need at least 50mbps down.
I would like to thank you!! At first I was little bit suspicious about this whole "e-sim company". But I was in NY with my wife and Holafly e-sim worked perfectly well! Email received in minutes, activation also fast as hell and even your discount code worked as well :-) Internet was fast and stable during our whole trip. Thank you once more from Europe.
Ответитьesims are way too expensive comparerd to local sims
ОтветитьDoes this work for Asian countries? Like travelling to China, HK, Thailand, Taiwan, etc?
ОтветитьCan you tether your data from the iphone to macbook? In there site it says no data sharing or hotspot?
ОтветитьHow do you get back to your home network?
ОтветитьThis may sound stupid but do you need wifi to activate it if you preinstall before leaving home? We are travelling from Canada to Europe and would like to use as soon as we land. Would we use airport wifi to activate? or does it automatically connect once we take airplane mode off.
ОтветитьHey there, how does this e-sim work for calling out while in Europe, say to a local hostel or hotel ? I'll be there for 2 months and visiting minimum 6 different countries.
