do these connectors compatible for copper wires that are not fibers? I mean copper wires that are in 1 piece each.
ОтветитьWould these be good for connecting wired in a guitar pickup?
ОтветитьI used these at General Dynamics back in 1980's.
They are great for soldering a ground wire to coax braided shields.
Nothing new, I've worked in aviation for years and these are used to put shield drain wires on shielded wire. However they are not the proper way to splice two wires, for that an environmental crimp is used. These actually don't have enough solder inside to splice two wires together, also that solder in your example is not melted properly, fail all the way around.
ОтветитьIts SoL der not sodder
ОтветитьThese are ok for low voltage applications, BUT the solder in the heat shrink tubing doesn't fully saturate the wire.
ОтветитьCan you use a hairdryer to melt them
ОтветитьEnglish lesson sawder, sooder, sawdering, soodering. The word is solder to break it down SOLD ER. =. SOLDER, SOLDERING, for the people who don’t get it try this pronunciation soul der, soul der ing. Thank you
ОтветитьI have seen but never used these. I used the method I was familiar with. I couldn't care less if it is 25 years old, I learned something.
A lot of snotty boys in men's bodies it seems.
Not to Mention: VACO T1710 Crimping tools are priced at $300 (VACO, Now Klein tools)
Ответитьthank you , I will be using these , I appreciate the video
ОтветитьNice video, thanks for sharing it :)
Ответитьgud viDO, just finishd watching another guys viDO that said soldering sucks, use crimp connectors(& he beleived in his perception just as much as you). NEhU, you said ‘U cN C the solder ring mLTng’, but I’m not so sure I did. some experts with this say it’s when it turns black, but that’s not solder its copper oxide 2?(something like that) - if wire/connection is tilted, the silver solder flows out the lower side(which means it misses solder), here 1 can C when it melted, in the wrong location - & it will take time to carefully, & if fortunate successfully without damaging wire, disemble the whole project ready to start again.. at this point back to question A, how does 1 see if solder melted? maybe when the ring shrinks? (btw I’ve heard 3M self dealers melt more soldr into wire), but NEwA, ?🤔
ОтветитьNever solder again:
Use this new production invention that you don't have and don't know where to buy and a HEAT GUN to solder easily.
There, saved you 4 minutes.
Dont think these shrinks would work on building or repairing a drone. 😮
ОтветитьYeah you need 190C to get the solder to melt..I prefer soldering myself.
ОтветитьSold the connectors are absolutely crap
ОтветитьI have to say thank you for this video. My sister had a rat chew through a portion of her engine harness and it was pretty bad. I used these connectors and they helped a bunch.
ОтветитьCan this product be used on well pump wiring. That's solid wire.
ОтветитьNever seen these connectors. They look like they would work great on boat wiring used in salt water. Salt environment is tough on wiring especially at connections. Typical butt splicing won't last and I tried slipping a straw over wiring before slicing then sliding over splice and filling with silicone caulking with better success. These connections definitely look worth trying in this situation.
