Why is Ghajini landmark just because it opened a 100cr club. It was purely natural progression. Om shanti om had done 80cr. Rab ne bana di jodi did 80-85. And ghajini did 100.

Aamir is the only bankable person in the whole Indian film industry before SSR was a thing . As a true cinema fan Aamir is always a fdfs as is SSR . Rest can wait .

If there is karma in this world, Aamir will definitely make a comeback. He is a bigger patriot than most of the 2 Rs troll gangs who give us lectures on patriotism, an actor who changed the grammar of mainstream Hindi Cinema from 2000. I also believe that history will be kinder to Lal Singh Chaddha. It wasn't a perfect movie and the first trailer where Lal resembled his recent characters like PK didn't help his cause. But as a movie, it was far better than it was made out to be. Aamir in the latter half is brilliant; his crying scene in front of Rupa's grave is goosebumps-inducing. The one thing I want him to do though is experiment more with his mass movies - in trying to balance niche movies with mass movies, he ended up doing an awful movie like Thugs of Hindustan. Similarly, he also needs to bring a bit more variety to his niche movies since some of them, even with other directors at the helm, seem to have a Raju Hirani-esque quality to them. I, personally, loved his performance in Talaash (though the movie didn't work for many) and would love to see him experiment a bit more. Just hope this phase helps the artist in Aamir mature more. He, for me, more than the other two Khans is the trend-setter. SRK getting back at the Bollywood boycott gang with Pathaan's success is the right sort of poetic justice and a testament to his star power, but I have always been an Aamir fan. Hope that whatever he is going through now pushes him on to more challenging work just like it happened with his failures in the late 90s. Who knows? We might get to see Aamir setting a different kind of trend in the future.

I think channels like this contributed so much to laal sing chaddha getting flop. Comparing it to original was stupid and Amir even if went a little overboard with acting was still brilliant.

Lal singh chchada is a beautiful film in terms of its positive vibes

He just made bad choices with his last two films and it could've been avoided. He should've seen the red flags.

And Laal Singh Chadda was a remake of a classic which could only work in the American context.

He just needs to look out for obvious red flags in a project and that's what makes me hopeful.

One can never understand or predict hindi audiences - wherein an absolutely stupid film like Pathaan works and a not-so-bad LSC crashes. 🤔 Box office numbers are dependent on “entertainment” and not necessarily good content.

Laal Singh Chaddha was an amazing film. I do agree with the fact that his performance was inconsistent at times but he performed his best in the last 20-30 minutes of the film. I once said that in time, people would realize that LSC is an underrated masterpiece and that is becoming more true than ever. It’s a shame that the toxic publicity surrounding the film’s release was what caused it to fail.

As a child, Aamir Khan and SRK were the main actors who I grew up watching.

I am not an Amir Khan fan. I find his films to be too precise. His acting is too methodical for me. I only liked 3 idiots,Lagan and Taare Zameen Par. PK & Dangal didn’t do anything for me.
I think it because I really don’t feel anything for him. And that’s why I don’t get excited for his films. I watched them when they are Netflix or Prime.

Aamir Khan needs to find the right script, right co-star, the right director, and the right music composer and singer. Udit Narayan has to sing for Aamir Khan again. Imagine a mature stubble or clean shaven spectacled Aamir Khan miming to Udit Narayan's voice in today's time.
