Haven’t seen anyone mention this, but the divine RPG mod and Advent of Ascension (it’s successor) mods both have to be up there. There are hundreds of mobs and dozens of new dimensions between the two. Definitely some of the biggest mods ever, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they were some of the most downloaded.

I think the most downloadet mod are Forge, shure it is a modloader, but the true is, this is a modification of MC itself, a Mod ;).

How are the X-Ray mods not anywhere on this list?

There are updates to VoxelMap, I still use it in 1.19.4, you just can't find them on most websites.

everytime ive resest my PC i redownload every newest version of optifine for each version of minecraft which i can confidently say is over 10 times so i get why youd assume so

I would argue that forge is the most downloaded minecraft mod. It is a mod loader, yet also a modification itself.

Would have been worth mentioning that some mods would have got a much higher download count if you concider them also being in modpacks. The counts would be MUCH higher and maybe even some rankings may vary.
