METHINKS THE LADY DOTH PROTEST TOO MUCH!
Hey Bill, ever been in a locker room? 'I couldn't say anything 'cuz I was low man yada, yada, yada, I wanted say Hey Buddy, put on some boxers.' Come on Richie Cunningham grow a PHUKKIN' pair and think of comic possibilities. Man he talks a mean game but I'm gonna "Biden" or "Brandon" a line by former Boston Celtic legend the 'Chief' Robert Parish's line about when Burr got married he immediately said to the little lady: Here are my ''LITTLE BITTY BABY BALLS''. Again Methinks the lady...

I had a boss one time telling me to work faster on my first day on the job. I turned around and snapped at him and said “Look, I’m learning here. Do you want it done fast or do you want it done right?” He turned around and walked off without saying a word.

I’m a project manager. I started as an apprentice , then journeymen, then foremen ,then superintendent . Been in the trade 24 years all with the same company . I have the upmost respect for tradesmen and women. It’s honest honorable and at times hard and dangerous work.

What I don’t understand is how bill burr couldn’t last construction, but loved/ preferred warehouse jobs. I work warehouse for now, bc there is basically no other jobs offered where I live and I’m a college student so it’s hard to get a job just for the summer when I’m at home.

If u ever want to be suicidal, work at a warehouse. Mindless work. Horrible working conditions. It’s a little better if you get the forklift jobs but still. Depends where you work but watched like a hawk so you can’t screw around. 12 hr shifts , 5 days a week.

We had a bricklayer when I was young named Rocco. Italian guy, always with a jug of whine. He must have been accused of drinking on the job. So Rocco says to my brother-in-law Ed, "Me no drinka no whine. Not on the job!". Ed replied, "But Rocco, that's a jug of whine right there". Rocco with an nice Italian man face and hands out to the sides says "Ahhh, a little bit". I used to go to the strip club for lunch and come back lit. Not acceptable today. I don't drink anymore, so that worked out. People were drunk on construction jobs all the way into Summer 1989. Tall boys everywhere.

A guy's piece wagging around on you during work will wreck the day. Porto pottys are so disgusting. It is the worst thing about being in Field Construction. I have to wear a P100 to use a Porto Potty without throwing up.

I was a laborer for three right off the boat Italian plasterers. We did the Ritz Carlton in Boston and I had to mix the "mud" and then carry over 100lbs using the stairwell up to the sixth floor.
Best shape I've ever been in, but I was a lot younger then.
When I got home I would just collapse into bed sometimes without eating...too damn tired. And those guys were friggin tough as nails!

I used to work in construction sites as a security guard/fireguard. It was the easiest job I ever had, but it was so boring!! I used to do nightshifts there and I would just be on my phone the whole shift because there was no one else on site. It was bittersweet.

I've done all types of construction for 5 years now. The best thing was raising Party tents when I was in Germany, for Oktoberfest. ------------------
I've done over 300 hours in august of 2019, when I was 26, some days we worked up to 16 hours. You could barely stand at the end.
Despite being in shape all my life, it was at this time that I was the strongest, toughest son of a bitch, I've ever been.

I'l always remember my time in construction fondly. It sucked practically every single day when i was there, but it makes me smile thinking about it. And now i know how to do shit that i was clueless about - Need a fence putting up? Got it. Need a bit of concrete mixing up? Done. Can't afford a cabinet? I'll make a simple one....Very helpful skills when you're trying to be an adult 😂

lol. welcome to my world fellas. licensed plumber since 1989, did new custom homes for 20 years. wonderful people though. not all of them were as 'rough neck' as bill's nut display... lol. electricians, plumbers & hvac guys tend to be a little less hard on the eyes.. lol. carpenters, roofers, painters & sheet rock guys- oh yeah. can be a rough bunch. it's a lot harder work for not as much pay.

I’ve been ironworking for 2 years. Half the people I work with are pretty crazy but genuine people who are not fake at all. Although recently two guys got fired for never being on time and always leaving early and (probably) stealing tools to support their heroin use. Unfortunately I developed a kratom addiction because it can be such a grueling job sometimes, but I usually like it a lot especially erecting steel beams and welding. But I have done two internships at engineering consulting firms and hated both of them. (Time for me to brag about becoming an iron worker welder after graduating with an engineering degree with an FE cert. I can’t resist it’s the internet).

I was a lull driver working in the labor union at Fort Knox. My job was to mix the masonry mud and pour it in the pot then lift it up and set it on the scaffolds. I was bored out of my mind and found a 55 gallon drum of muriatic acid I put some in a 2 L bottle and then put some aluminum nails in there and then I buried it in the sand pile after a while it would explode and blow top of sand pile off. After I made one or two I decided to make a big one I buried it like I had the other ones and at that moment the safety guy came pulling up in his little golf cart I'm parked right beside the sand pile it took a couple minutes and then the explosion blew the top of the sample off covering the guy in sand all hell broke loose they were talking about sending whoever did it to Guantanamo Bay good thing I was in the Union I didn't even get fired
