My refurbished M1 11”, 2021 iPad Pro arrived today. I have the 2017 10.5” iPad Pro, and didn’t expect such a difference. Smaller, lighter and faster. Now, after watching this video I am curious about the 12.9” one. 😂 G. A. S.

This is my first iPad ever and I couldn’t be more happier with my purchase, and with 512 gbs I’ll be set for the next 5 - 7 years 😁

Where the ipad shines is in graphic arts. Drawing on the screen instead of a separate pad of some sort.

something definitely does not add up re: battery life.

I just got a brand new machine (well, it was probably sitting in storage) via Applecare and - after setting up a fairly legit system of logging - get ~3 hours of full-charge use... and I don't do anything with video or audio. Just text lol.

He's not lying the first time I truly seen the HDR on my iPad pro 5th Gen it almost brought me too tears 😭

This guy is ridiculous! Yeah if you gonna spend 1,100 might as well spend another $500 for a keyboard that cost $350 plus tax and the pencil which is $100 PLUS TAX

I just got my first iPad Pro 12.9 inch and I couldn’t be more happier with my purchase. The very small amount of bloom isn’t a bother to me at all and I enjoy everything about this device. Awesome speakers as well. I could never switch to a smaller screen, the 12.9 inch is perfect 😍

I’m struggling for HDR content. My Netflix and Amazon only seem to play HD on the apps. I’ve tried all the settings etc, but nothing 🤔

Apple, Do NOT put MacOS apps on the iPadOS. The screen real estate is just not enough and the multitasking is nowhere close. It would be an UI disaster. Let the iPad bloom and grow in its own space…let it be its own unique individuality and NOT trying to be a carbon copy of its older brother. You want desktop features…go buy one. iPad is in a good space now with lots of potential already for creative individuals with light office related tasks. Less fonts and menu diving is what makes the iPad so much fun to use. I can’t imagine menu diving and squinting to read tiny fonts and windows floating all over the screen on an 11” iPad Pro. No…just don’t do it Apple regardless of what all these people want. Trust me, you don’t want that. Forget Final Cut Pro and Logic X Pro on the iPad. A Lite version suited for iPad world…sure…but not the full fledged desktop version. It would be a nightmare.

They should make iPads dual bootable so you can choose whether it's Mac OS X or iPad OS. Without that functionality it's pointless to have that much power when my 2017 iPad Pro is yet to slow down in any way

Yes the quality of the screen is awesome. However, the size of the 12.9 ipad pro 2021 is much smaller then my 2017 ipad pro 12.9. I really must get used to it. The magnet of the apple pencil is very weak so you run the risk of loosing the pencil when carrying.

And this ipad is a monster. Actually this iPad Pro is faster than the base m1 MacBook Air.

I met some of the Ipad engineers from Cupertino, they are very passionate about the user experience. I think at least in my opinion (I don't work for Apple), that the ideal sell point is...
Workflow, photos and tiny notes from iPhone, Use Ipad for detailed notes (w apple pen) then back in the office using either the Macbook Pro or IMac.

And then instead of adding feature that enables a 1500$ device to act like a true laptop replacement, like the Windows UI or Samsung Dex, Apple add Sidecar who turn it into a secondary monitor to a laptop (Macbook). I use Macbook Pro and Iphone as daily driver, but I’m not a fan of that

It would have been nice if this was just an iPad pro review and not a comparison with a Mac. I don’t have a Mac so I don’t care about how it compares, I just wanted to learn about the iPad Pro. I guess I’ll have to go look up some other reviews.

Terrible review. I would think most buying the iPad Pro use it for creative purposes. Why would you pay so much money for a powerful device only to watch movies, etc that you can on s much cheaper non-pro ipads. Know your audience…

It’s so odd that apples product team would make something so powerful and limited at the same time. The difference between the 11 inch and the air seem pretty marginal with the current software situation.

i have a mac book pro and want to switch to an iPad I don't know if it is worth it or not

The only problem I have with my 2018 iPad Pro is the lack of memory to keep apps open from refreshing. Now these versions seem promising. But I'll wait till they add vapor chamber cooling. Games I play run this thing hot and throttle the frame rate.

Unfortunately I am disappointed with the Dolby Vision playback. Even on Apple TV, films in Dolby Vision look rather dark and "matt", in contrast to an OLED TV. Actually, I expected more from the 12.9 "top model. Unless you have to activate the HDR separately, it is probably due to the poor dynamic tone mapping or the lack of Dolby Vision support.

I just wanna say that bloom will always be inheret to any LCD display because of dimming zones. The only to obscure it is try and shrink these individual LEDs even more.

The iPads amazing screen is wasted for movies with the aspect ratio. So much wasted space.

I’m not going to lie when i first got my iPad Pro I was thinking why have i just spent £700 on a iPad but i have used it every day since getting and its now replaced my laptop
